God yes, we need sex education. Middle and high school students are already ignorant enough as it is about sex and the consequences. You're just screwing them over by taking away what little education they're going to get in that topic.

I think Education on Sex should be taught. Children are more aware and open to sex than when I was growing up. The topic of sex use to be this evil, forsaken subject that no one was to speak of, yet everyone was doing it. My mother never gave me "The talk". I had to learn on my own. My mother and I have a great relationship now, but growing up, I think she was unsure of how to address that issue. Accurate information on sex is extremely important. Some people are still under the impression that sex is this horrible sin, when sex is completely healthy and natural. A child becomes sexually curious around 12-13 and parents should talk to them about it. I know when I have children, I am going to talk to them about it. Experimenting with sex is never a good idea when you do not know the consequences.

Remember the thing in school where you get to choose 3 or 4 classes on your schedule. They are called electives. I think Sex-Ed classes should be an elective. It's their choice if the child wants to learn about Sex from their school or parents. Sex-Ed class shouldn't be mandatory for everyone. Also who cares if there are some childern/teens who are immature about sex. If they don't want to take the class, then don't take the class.

Well, most kids find out by themselves nowadays. Some of the things 3rd graders say on the bus are just sick though. Its like, ok Im 14, its more normal for me to know than some 7 year old.

Ugh don't remind me about this. When i was in 6th grade and i was 12 my enitre class had to see...."The miracle of Life" From how a woman gets pregant to when the baby comes out. Im sorta okay ever since i saw it.

I think that kids should learn about the basic concept of sex in 5th grade. In middle school they should start learning about stds and the importance of condoms because kids are having sex at younger ages now. In high school they maybe review what was taught in middle school.

It still is, more and more children find out about it earlier from unqualified sources and do it, is the problem. This mentality of "sex + underage people = the worst sin" at large is a serious problem. It's not a problem with the children necessarily, as they are curious, the problem is people seeing this as a bad thing and treating it as one.

Classic child mentality, telling them not to do something only makes them want to do it more, if only to spite you. And good luck to anyone thinking they can tell someone who has already had sex to not do it again, as I have seen many try .

I don't think school should be teaching sex until the child reaches 18. I highly think it may be weird. Although, it is best for our economy because we don't need children to be doing sexual things to their own body as well as doing it to other in gaining pleasure or babies. furthermore, if we continue to teach children's when they may not be matured and ready to listen to what sex is. Than this may not be a wise thing to do. now that you know this, it leads me to my next point. School should not teach us sex because not everyone in that classroom can be mature and ready to listen to what sex is.
I believe parent should speak to there own child about it but not until they are mature. I don't think school should teach about sex until the students has reached 18 or in university or college.

I agree lots of kids find what sex is pretty fast now a days. which is a bit to soon for them. it really cerupts their mind. even to think about how they ,ay grow up into. just hoping they won't be growing into something we assume they may grow into.

i think it should be taught. cause some kids are stupid and will do things they regret
but another thing is kids learn from their parents and then come to school and spread false filth to the uneducated mind.

i learned about sex around the third grade. i have no idea how i just know it wasnt my parents and alot of it was false info

They teach the students Sex Ed., in hopes that the students will actually realize the outcome of having sex. Yes. The student may still end up having sex but they have to at least try. Plus in my school it counts as Health Ed.
