Did I make a dumb decision?

I was about to now FINALLY get this Akatsuki cloak online, but my dad convinced me not to. So instead I bought 3 PS3 games, but aside from that, I was gonna get more than the cloak, I was gonna get the following:
Itachi's necklace
Itachi's ring
Anti-Leaf Headband

I was gonna cosplay as Itachi Uchiha but now I don't have the money to get all of the items I need, and I had $125 cash to blow on this stuff. I think my dad thought the money I had was for only the cloak, so did I make a dumb decision in buying PS3 games or was it a smart idea because I'm 16 and I guess I'm too old for this stuff.

And for the record, I have no clue where to put this thread so I decided to put it here, if it needs to be moved, move it.

Why would it be dumb if you wanted it? There is no right or wrong answer here. It's whatever you think would be used the most and what would be most enjoyable in my opinion.

Well i don't think you're too old for this stuff cause it's for teens and tweens. But in my mind i think you made a bad mistake, but PS3 games are cool. And were if you were going to spend 125on the cloak and accesories you'd come a little, ok med, short because the accesories caust at least 8 to 12 ,somerimes, $'s. I 'm saving up for a Kakuzu cloak. and trench knives. and i'm like age: will not say watever the case is and idk what choice i make.

Anyway, its mostly up to you. Do you think its worth buying 3 PS3 games than the cloak? Or the other way around. My father told me to save money and buy something you really want.

I think you should've bought neither and started saving up for a car. You could've opened up a "free-student checking account", or put the money into a high interest CD for a couple of years and let it build.

I like to save money, for stuff that I only really want. Like I can make 100$ last a year. I might get an xbox game here, something off the internet here, some manga there. The point is, I myself don't like to blow it right away. Don't worry about your decision. Do you enjoy your ps3 games? If so then be proud of your decision.

People may make you feel or hint around that you're too old.
Don't take it personally, people like to find a flaw in everyone even if it's a show they watch that they haven't even tried watching themselves. Everyone has a personal preference of what to watch.
I can't stand Oprah or those talk shows that my mom watches, my grandma watches a cooking channel, and my little sister is a Hannah Montana fan. You'd never catch me watching any of that, as I don't expect to catch them watching an anime.

I'm 18, I know people 25+ who do Naruto cosplay
Naruto isn't exactly a bugs bunny cartoon either, it's more of an adult swim.
So don't let it get to you.

Yea you shouldnt feel bad about doing what you like. I don't want you to think that your too old to do cosplay. Do what you want and what makes you happy...as long its legal lol. I'm 20, looking at houses and already started my career and love Naruto. Your never too old to do the things you love!

I think you should have bought what you wanted. I'm 19 and I plan on saving up for a cosplay outfit so your not too old. I know much older people who cosplay.

Completely agree. But just for kicks I would like to know what were you going to do with cloak and etc.

no i don't think its dumb.may be u enjoy these things more than u r going to enjoy those and age doesn't matter but still its not dumb decision.
