Improved Debate System.

I have thought of this idea yesterday, since we have a debate in our school.

So here it is:

I always observe that some debate ends with no side of it winning, so i think it will be better. If there will be two teams in a Debate. One in favor, and one not in favor.

For example:

User A = Common lets debate about Pokemon is Real!, Just post whether you are in favor or not so we could start the debate.

User B = Not in Favor
User C = In favor /smiles.
User D - Not In Favor

User A = Ok, since im in favor, the list is now complete:
In Favor:
User A
User C
Not In Favor:
User B
User D

Let us now start the debate.

And probably the debate will continue and someone will judge which side wins in the debate. And afterwards the thread is locked.

The Debate will be more interactive, because there are teams that is opposing each other.

I think i forgot something, im gonna add it if i remember.

So what do you think?

I do not agree. This is based on a premise that everyone who agrees and disagrees will all be in that thread during this time period. The same goes for the judges that will be watching and lets not forget that the judges also have opinions on things. Locking the threads does no one no good. It will only invite people to start new threads on the subject. While this sounds great in theory, it just wouldn't work here.

Unless you can organize a scheduled time for a handful of people to attend, (which, by the way, is almost impossible to do online) it wouldn't work. This is my take on it anyways.

Agreed. While two people may agree on one piece of the debate, they might not agree on something else associated with the debate, and we'd end up with 3-8 different teams.

I say we just use polls its faster and more accurate.
