in base abilities, withut MS, at this point they are about equal: comparable speed and reactions, comparable taijutus and strategists (Kakashi might have a slight edge in this), Itachi has advantage in genjutsu, but Kakashi has impreoved genjutsu defense with sharingan and the advantage in ninjutsu. they are both good at ninjutus/clone feint combo's

it could go either way (if Itachi is healthy that is), but Kamui at this point is more efficient that Susano



also heres a theory; we have never seen Itachi use tsukiyomi on an opponent with MS. it is very likely that Kakashi could actually use Kamui within the tsukiyomi dimension, to at the very least dispell the justs, or maybe kill Itachi (kamui is a dimentional attack)

If Itachi had lightning-timing reactions that would mean that people who are massively hypersonic could not do anything to him. Clearly this is not the case.

We saw a close up of Itachi's face before Kirin struck, he could easily have put up Susanoo before Kirin struck, since Sasuke made it so conspicuous and he and Zetsu made multiple comments on the technique and Itachi really didn't get much panel time during that time period. Otherwise I call MASSIVE inconsistency. People faster than Itachi in Naruto can not compare to lightning speed in movement or reaction.

Kakashi slashing lightning is hyperbole.

Other than that I agree though, Tsukuyomi couldn't even completely knock out Kakashi back then, and Kakashi improved his Sharingan much more. Also a guy like Itachi who stays stationary for a lot of battle time would easily be hit by Susanoo. Honestly he only moved a few times in his fight with Sasuke and that was generally to dodge, not to attack, and just dodging Kamui is something that would be nearly impossible for a guy who does not have significant speed over Kakashi.

One finger genjutsu work on Kakashi? The best one it captured was Naruto, and he fails horribly at genjutsu. Also, Kakashi should be able to Kamui Amaterasu and even if he can't, it'd be much more likely he warps Itachi before he actually dies from Ammy, seeing how KARIN survived it.

That was also at 30%. But it would distract him for a second which is all Itachi needs.

And what will Itachi do in a second? Use Amaterasu which can be Kamui'd or even tanked? Again, if KARIN of all people can survive it I don't see why Kakashi won't last long enough. Kakashi could easily fake out Itachi and then when he lets his guard down, boom, Kamui, GG. Itachi won't know what hit him because he would be dead before he could think about it.

IF Kakashi goes against Pain 1v1 bodies then he would easily get to the top tier due to reaction time and kamui.

However if he was to take all 6 pains at once...I don't see a clear victory through that because of 3 kamui's exhausting him causing him to die. Maybe 4 at the most.

But if it was 1v1 Kakashi and Pain..1 body at a time...I would see him going wayyy up there...maybe to Madara and Hashirama's area? I can't say :/
