Pushing Religion.
Is it right or wrong?

I know people who are trying to get me to go to a church group and go to their church more. The church has no denomination. Well I was baptized Roman Catholic, and I have never been to mass once. I still don't find it right to be trying to get me to go to whatever church when I'm not that part of it. Also, I am not a very religious person. My view is you believe in whatever you want and be happy. I just don't know how to tell them that I don't want to go, but on the other hand a lot of my friends go to the church.

Have you ever had religion pushed on you or have been pressured to change?
Or is pushing religion on to others right or wrong?

i follow religion and i am very religious but forcing religion is wrong because it goes against my religion ( islam) comment on my religion and i WILL get you infracted.

You best be trolling.

Religion should not be pushed on others, no matter what. This includes situations in public. I strongly believe that religion should be a private matter, and when it goes beyond that I'm generally opposed to it.

Pushing it is simply wrong because they literally try to take away your beliefs but often Preach about respecting what other's believe in.
Noone has the right to interfere with your beliefs.
It's like a change of your whole self.

Anyhow:

Being a former child of a JW parent, and having been door-to-door myself, I bear witness to that. Though it's a lot harder to slam the door on a child when he knocks on your door. Eventually, I figured out it's more rude to bother someone with your beliefs at their home.

I don't think it's wrong if they ask you to come to church but when they tell you to go to church or harass you about it it's wrong.

people always try to for me to be christian*has no religion* they're like well how do you prove there's no god? and i'm like how do you prove there is a god? then they say well how else would we be here? and i'm like evolution smart one.

I think it's wrong to push religion on anyone. If a person is suddenly going to convert, then let them make that decision without influence.

I've had it pushed on me a few times, but like anything else I make my own choice. As should everyone.
I'm neutral to religion as a whole, for example my outlook on "God", if it exists then cool, if not, +1 for science, don't care either way. I'm not going to worship it, but I'm not going to say it's impossible for it to exist, I believe anything is possible.

As for people pushing it on others, let them decide for themselves, to not is selfish and close minded and doesn't make your religion look any better to the person you are trying to convince in my opinion.

religion should definately not be pushed onto others.

JWs are the worst, i live next door to a church and get a visit at least once a week telling me why i should be part of it. They never learn or listen, i have complained alot.

if you are curious about the church etc ILK then it should be upto you to go and find out about it in your own time and if someone does talk to you about it then they should simply tell you some information rather than try to influenece you

haha that's ok. the place is actually called kingdom hall next door to me, i just guessed it was the name of the building as im not familiar with the JW religion really
