Will we ever overcome hatred, discrimination and prejudice?

It's something that I've been thinking about for a long, long time. And honestly? It's depressing. Everywhere you go, you see irrational hate and prejudice towards people who really, really don't deserve it.

I see discrimination against people based on their race or their religion. It's everywhere-- and it's suffocating. Will the human race ever overcome these feelings? Is it even possible? When will we decide to just grow up and get over it?

And the problem is, these feelings of hate and prejudice are only perpetuated through various mediums, such as the radio and the TV, and so forth. It's like a hate fest. It's everywhere-- on Facebook, YouTube, TV...is there any way to escape it?

Will it ever end? Because from what I can see, it doesn't seem like it ever will. And that's quite disheartening, if I do say so myself.

No, as long as human beings have emotions, then all attributes to hatred, discrimination and prejudice will remain. Elinimate emotions then your everything will end.

It is bascially based on the notion that we humans are built on the foundations of emotions, it really contributes to what humans are. And certainly differentiate us from animals, because it is part of characteristics etc.

Some people would say that emotions are 'instincts' or inborn. Which reflects on our behaviours. However, some people may argue that yes it will end. If you change preception, knowledge and understandings of our surroundings therefore elinimate certain types of behaviours such as hatred, discrimination and prejudice.

It could be linked to our education structure and systems or is built on other factors such as reglious belief, which is in a way is education. Others includes Historical factors that may contribute to hatred, discrimination and prejudice.

But essentailly the ultimate problem lies within the roots which is emotions that are natural to us. Therefore to answer your question, emotions influences behaviours, and are characteristically make us all fundamentally different. That difference results in the spur of emotions that we have, thus reflects on behaviours.

Quite confusing but the underlying notion here is clear. I can make it more clear, but the main points are here, im sure someone will have some critique of my views, but the general agreement is usually based on this analysis.

Probably not some ppl never change and do it cuz they think that stuff is funny and they wonder why kids are bringing guns to school and all that

We won't until humans can overcome the flaws of their mind and emotions. Some would argue at that point we cease being what a human is all about.

Never, Hatred discrimination and prejudice will always be around unless humans become something like a mindless computer. Emotions and intellegence can lead to hatred

It's pretty much been said countless times throughout this thread, just in different ways.

As depressing as it is, your answer is no. As long as we're human, hatred, jealousy and greed will exist. All we can do in our lifetime is hope to change the future so that the next generation can get closer to reaching that point. Even though I honestly think it's a hopeless fantasy that we humans will never achieve, but that's, as you said, extremely upsetting, so I ignore it and try to be the best person I can be.

we as in the world will never outgrow it any of these
since well weve founded everything we know of of these principles
but its ok since we will never outgrow trying to understand and forgive each other so it might be ok

This is like asking hate to disappear; the cruel opinions of others will always be here. The human race is complex and people in this world never learn. It depends on who you are. Sure, laws try to end it but it is always there. It may change for the better, but discrimination and hate will never go away.

Hatred is a human emotion. It will exist as long as humans do.

Our course of action should not be to wipe out discrimination and predjudice, merely to minimize them, and promote the opposite, which I believe is acceptance.

We should not wipe out the bad, merely promote the good.

I just want to say this. If one person can overcome hate, one overcome discrimination, and one overcome prejudice then it is possible to overcome all three. probably the hardest of those to overcome is hatred.
