In Naruto Shippuden Movie 3 Gaara fought Naruto. It`s true that it is not canon, however there was a nice demonstration of how Naruto would beat Gaara. Naruto dodged his attacks and broke his defense with Rasengan and he could go further and hit him with Rasengan, but didn`t want to hurt him so much so he had another Kagebunshin run towards him and punch knocking him out. It`s not canon, but I reccomend you see at least that fight!!!
Yes, the sand casually blocks Rasengan. I fail to see how Rasengan could bypass it if C3 couldn't.

Chidori is piercing, and Rasengan is not. Besides, Gaara has improved to the point where anyone who tries to use regular Chidori on him would end up getting drowned in sand.

The problem with that movie fight is that Rasengan would fail to break the sand defense. Ever. If Naruto tried to use Rasengan on Gaara, he'd get his knees stuck in sand like Kimimaro did, GG. Unlike Kimimaro, Naruto can't get out.

Lol at a punch KO'ing Gaara. That is complete PNJ. Reminds me of Part 1.

Using evidence from a movie is autofail for your arguement. Movies are not canon.

C3 and Rasengan is not really the same, but anyway...

Why is it so hard to believe Gaara is crushed by a punch? To me it seems he never used Taijutsu anyway. Without sand even Moegi`s punch should hurt him, let alone Naruto.

Base Lee's kick casually broke through his sand armor. Five Gates Lee > base Lee in case you hadn't noticed.

The idea that Gaara is so weak to be taken out by sub-sub-subfodder like Moegi is laughable and mildly trollish.

Except for the part where Gaara tanked hits from Five Gates Lee. If he can do that, there is no way in this or any universe other than your insane fanfic where she is Superwoman that Moegi can hurt Gaara in any way short of hurting his feelings by calling him a poopy face.

It may have escaped your notice, but Kimimaro and Naruto are two different people. What is possible for one may not be possible for the other. Kimimaro survived by going CS2. Does Naruto have a cursed seal? No? How about that.

Sage Mode takes too long to set up, he'll be dead long before he gets the chance to use it.

But wait, how do you know he would manage to get him in sand coffin in the first place? Rasenshuriken should make him unable to do any strange things.

Depends on a number of factors, but yes. Gaara > Naruto 90% of the time.

In terms of power and in terms of being a better character that isn't willing to sacrifice his entire village for the sake of his exboyfriend.
