I do not read the manga, so I can not tell you. It was mentioned in the anime and I read information about the clan and characters.

Neji is stronger than Hanabi, but he was born into the Side Branch, not Main.

Has Hiashi ever shown any decent Speedfeats?

When feats are not present for both characters, assumptions and speculations can be made. Therefore, ranking would matter. If both characters present feats, then those feats are used and ranking is disregarded. It's as simple as that.

Genma specializes in one field, which hasn't been revealed. A Special Jonin is not that much higher than a Chunin, so I think Tenten would stand a pretty good chance.

It was in the manga 'arc' when Pain attacked the village. So yes, it's canon.
