itachi would win simply because well the only one who can defeat itachi is someone who shares his same blood or has the sharningan such as kakashi hatake

Itachi wins hands down. He might not even use an MS technique to defeat Neji. He has his speedy hand seals and advanced jutsu. ^^

Between Itachi and Neji I'd have to say that Neji would put up a great fight but Itachi would still win.

Unless Neji found some way to avoid or break Itachi's genjustu he wouldn't stand a chance. Itachi just is too strong with his mental attacks. He disables you with them, and then takes you apart with his other skills.

Even sweaping the Genjustu off Itachi would still make Neji have to really work to keep up. The Unchiha has been at this alot longer, and he's supposed to be insanely fast. Itachi would just take Neji apart, I hate to admit, but he would.

Uh, the author of this is actually a gigantic Itachi fanatic.

Your right, this post is weird and the question's answer is obvious, but what inspired this was a fight he had with his brother and me on The Broken Bond. He played as Itachi and his brother was Neji. I was Sasuke but I died...Anyways, his brother won. He just wanted to know what people thought.

I love Neji tho, he's such a strong character...but it's just obvious he can't defeat Itachi at all.

I love both those guys, but in the end, I would have to say Itachi.

Neji needs close-quarters combat to be victorious, otherwise he doesn't have the advantage, while Itachi can use genjutsu and Mangekyo Sharingan from a distance.
