who would win Minato Namikage or Orochimaru? since third hokage chosed Minato over Orochimaru?

Orochimaru stomps.

Manda overpoweres frog summons.

Orochimaru is faster, more durable, and invincible.

He roflstomps the 4th. Nothing Minato has can kill Orochimaru.

Reaper seal is suicide, not to mention he'd do the same thing that he did to the 3rd, all over again.

I would have to agree with the third hokage and say that the fourth hokage would kick Orochimaru's butt.

The third hokage would have killed Orochimaru if he didn't summon the first and second hokage to the battle, and also the third hokage was old at that point. The fourth hokage was also much stronger then the third hokage, even when the third hokage was younger and in good shape.Yondaime was able to beat the Kyuubi which is already on rampage while Orochimaru almost backed-up while fighting Naruto in Kyuubi form.

Minato beat the fox and Madara. Minato sealed the fox because the attack that Madara made was a ruse to cover up something else. Madara was going to attack with the fox again like he did two times. SO Minato sealed it in Naruto. Death reaper takes a LOT of prep time. How can Minato get that much prep in a battle against Kyuubi AND Madara?

Do note that Minato's power was comparable to that of Hiruzen and Hashirama.

I think Minato has a good shot at it with FTG and rasengan, then there's boss summons.
This won't be a stomp. Especially with Minato's feats.
Minato's FTG can take care of Oro easily, as his attacks are mostly close range or take prep. (they spill out snakes or take prep usually).

Boss summon's oil blast would be dangerous.
Rasengan to the face would destroy Oro.
Of course he won't win that easily. I think he has a chance though, this won't be a stomp fight at all.

Orochimaru can move faster than Kunai speed.

Manda can kill Gama relatively easily.

Not to mention Minato has no counter for snake sworm.

A rasengan to the face? Orochimaru tanked A KN4 blast directly, it completely vaporized his gates, yet he survived.

He also tanked Tsunade shots in the face, which would have probably literally knocked a person's head off of their face if it were your basic ninja.

Minato has no way of killing Orochimaru, which is why Genjutsu was the only reason Itachi beat him.

He's the strongest tank in the entire series, a melee chakra genjutsu with wall busting capabilities won't kill Orochimaru, considering he tanked a mountain busting bijuu chakra bomb and laughed.

By feats Minato doesn't have much to put down Orochimaru. Now if Orochimaru had no great durability and regen and such. Minato with FTG spam can kill him.

dude for one minato is a hell of a lot faster than orochimaru they show this in the video games and in the manga.......also his justsu good beat orochimaru.........and the only reason the third hokage dies was because he was already dieing and he didnt have enough energy to finish the reapers death soul

Video games are non-canon. There's nothing in the manga to suggest that Minato is faster than Orochimaru.

The Third intentionally passed over Orochimaru because he felt that Orochimaru didn't have the proper mindset for the job. The fact that Minato was made fourth instead of Orochimaru is meaningless.

The scale doesn't matter much, considering the blast vaporized 3 steel gates.

Gates > Mountain rock

So, you could say it would bust a mountain, because it would destroy basically anything it came into contact with, even if it's scale isn't large enough to deplete a complete mountain.

Tanking a bijuu blast means you can tank basically anything.
