Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan. (kind of a spoiler?)

If Kakashi had not abandoned his comrades, and had gone with Obito, and worked out a straight method to save Rin with him, then Obito would not have rushed in, and gotten himself killed. It is Kakashi's fault that Obito is dead, and Obito was like his best friend. However. Kakashi did say recently that "I couldn't protect Rin for you, Obito" during the fight with Pain. Maybe Rin died at some point recently? And, maybe Obito considered Rin his dearest friend***, and when she "died" Kakashi's Sharingan developed a Mangekyou form. Since, it is actually Obito's sharingan?

lol two things wrong with your theory. i dont know about the pain fight thing, but even if he did say something like that, Rin has been dead before the story even started which means it wasnt recent. Obito may have loved Rin but Kakashi didnt care for her nearly as much so. Since it's in Kakashi's body it's Kakashi's mind that has to feel the trauma in order for him to activate MS.

My theory is that Kakashi activated it due to some intense training which may brought out some repressed intense emotions, similar to how Vegeta became Super Saiyan when he was training (in Dragonball Z)

The intense training Kakshi under went to learn the mangakyo was when Itachi used it on hem. He almost died and anytime you witness a technique with the sharingan and dont die you learn it. So thats how kakshi learned the mangakyo. He survived Itachi's. You have to lose a close friend usually because no one survives the mangakyo. When Itachi performed it on Sasuke when he was a kid, sasuke didnt learn it because his sharingan hadn't surfaced yet.

for the love of god SHARINGAN CANNOT COPY ANOTHER KEKKEI GENKAI UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER. if your theory was correct, sasuke would have gained the Mangekyou Sharingan after Itachi used Tsukiyomi on him during the Return of Itachi Arc in Naruto part 1

I agree with koko 100%. Just because Kakashi is the "copy ninja" doesn't mean he can copy something as complex as the Mangekyo. If it were that simple then every Uchiha that ever existed would have had the Mangekyo. It's just to simple.

Helloooo You have to survive it. No one ever survive the mangekyo. buuuut your right sasuke would have learned it when he encountered Itachi and Kisami trying to take naruto that first time. Sooooo, it still sounded good. So why no back story on kekashi's mangekyo? He just kind pulled it out all of a sudden and it hasnt surfaced since. It was a great version too.

Yeah. I don't think he can't use it, but rather doesn't want to. Since his body isn't that of an Uchiha and can't handle it. If he just uses it and it's a miss, then his chakra's spent. The juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

I honestly feel that Tobi is Obito. When Tobi/Obito awakened the Mangekyou, it also awakened in Kakashi since it is essentially Tobi/Obito's eye.

Also note that normally, the traits of the Mangekyou are unique. Saskue just pointed that out in Chapter 483, when he sees the capabilities of Kakashi's Mangekyou. Kakashi's ability with MS is to teleport anything into another dimension(ie Deidara's arm, blast from explosion caused by Deidara and attack from Saskue's Susano). If you think about it, it's similar to what Tobi does when he transports himself to that other dimension. The ability is one in the same.

I foresee them revealing this in future chapters when the MS revealed through Tobi's mask has an identical design to Kakashi's. All MS designs are suppose to be unique as well.

This new twist of events will fuel the Manga for another year or so as they uncover the history of what happened to Obito and how he came to be Tobi. Just my theory.

Ugh....Madara and Obito are NOT the same person. Obito is dead. And even if it were true (it's not), Then it wouldn't be 'Madara is Obito,' Madara came first so it would be 'Obito was Madara.' Not that it matters because that's not the case.

Also, Obito never awakened the Mangekyo. He did like five minutes after first awakening the regular Sharingan. Madara, on the other hand, was the first Uchiha (along with Izuna) to awaken the Mangekyo, about 50+ years before Kakashi was even born.

As for the similar traits between Kakashi's and Madara's Mangekyo, they are very similar, except for one thing....every time Madara uses his space/time jutsu, it's not with his Mangekyo, we have yet to see Madara use his Mangekyo in the series at all. One can't even be 100% sure that Madara is using his Sharingan at all for that jutsu. How ever they do show Madara's Mangekyo from when he was younger, and it looks nothing like Kakashi's, if they were the same eyes, then wouldn't they look the same?

Another point I want to make, that I've made before, could be the most important. If Obito was Madara, why then, would he ever give his Sharingan to Kakashi, a non-Uchiha? He would never give up his Eternal Mangekyo....oh that reminds me! If they were one in the same, and he gave Kakashi his left eye, then why wouldn't Kakashi have the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan?

You say you foresee them revealing that Obito was Madara in the future? Well if that's true, then I foresee me never reading this manga again.

I'm not sure how Kakashi earned his Mangekyo Sharingan.

He just got it that's all I know.
