I'm really not sure. I think that these characters will die at some point:

I'm guessing that Killer Bee will be the next to die. But I don't think any more characters will die for awhile.

Sakura will heal sasuke. Karin and Sakura will fight. Karin Dies. Kakashi will arrive with Naruto. Naruto can't do anything for some reason...(Genjutsu or something...) Sasuke takes advantage of Sakura and hurts her. Kakashi attacks Sasuke with lightning blade because he hurt sakura.(and everyone knows what happens to kakashi when he attacks with lightning blade...) Sakura will try to save sasuke and get killed.
Kakashi will lose his mind and pass out or something then Kabuto (since he has been absent...) will arrive and try to take sasuke. then Jiraiya will arrive b/c pain revived everyone he killed (remember that!?!)

OR...

The rest of team Taka shows up and fights Kakashi and Naruto while Sasuke escapes while Sakura is in a Genjutsu.

If someone from team seven dies I also lean towards sai because of what you said and because Yamato is still needed in the plot to help control the ninetails. I think Kakashi will stay alive for a long time if not the whole series since he just became hokage. I don't think Kishi would kill him off right after that. This is supposed to be his year after all. Also, now that Danzou is dead root seems unnecessary to the plot now, so I could see sai dieing.

That would be sad for Sai because he is just now learning the true meaning of friendship. I hope he don't die. I like him. I hope no one dies too soon cuz there has been so many already

wrong because naruto crushed his necklaces which is the only reason yamato could control naruto. (reason 1st hokage could control the beasts was that he has all blood of a wood style jutsu )(that means yamato does not have all wood blood so he can't control naruto
