Character Birthday Threads

I don't know many how many times I have seen a character birthday thread get revived and then serveral people just post "Happy Birthday *insert whatever it is here*". I suggest that Character Birthday threads be closed a few days after the characters birthday to prevent spamming.

Yes, I noticed that too. They should be closed, but the problem is the next time it is the character's birthday, people would make NEW threads since old ones are closed. IF you say they can be re-opened. Not all have the powers to do that and it would be a drag to get a mod to do that every time. So we just have to go deal the spam or deal with same threads being made again.

One thread with spam > a ton of empty threads.

But HiddenNinja has a point, it gets spammed up pretty easy & using the same birthday could be a drag but I'd rather have that than countless repeat threads.
And re-opening and closing the same thread would be a bit pointless, but alright.

Well, there would be like 10 same character birthday threads. Too much mod work and everything. People would still make new threads, just deal with revivals.

Do you have.. anything to back that up?

I was also thinking of only one character birthday thread. Sure, it'd have tons of posts but there are quite a few characters in Naruto meaning lots of different birthday threads. You could just host it for that character, like bump it when the time comes?
