episode 141: itachi's lover???

okay soo episode 141 is out on animecrazy and as madara is talking to sasuke he said something that disturbed me. when he was naming who itachi had killed for the sake of the leaf, in the list, he said itachi killed HIS LOVER. ummm ???? since when did itachi have a lover?? and who the heck is she i wonder??? did this catch anyone else off guard? itachi had a girlfriend!!

I read that in the manga, so I wasn't surprized (they call GFs, BFs, Wifes, and Husbands in Naruto "lovers" so it isn't that shocking.)

^^ Agreed. Since I read the manga I already knew...and "lover" isn't exactly "lover" as you know it in English. For example if you look up Minato in his bio it'll sometimes say Kushina was his "lover" and obviously they were married so the meaning of the word most probably meant his girlfriend...and no we don't know who she was.

Madara talks about Itachi's mom and dad. Those are his lovers.

As far as I can tell, "lover" refers to a loved person... Unless, of course, we take Quillslinger's fanfiction "Who Died and Made You Lolita?" as canon and assume that the "lover" is Shisui. XD

I thought it basically meant Itachi had a girlfriend. That was a little surprising to me when I read it in the manga since Itachi seemed to be so evil and heartless. But, that obviously wasn' the case.

yeah i don't think madara was referring to itachi's parents when he was talking about who itachi killed because he listed 'parents' and 'lover' separately. sooo 'lover' could only mean that he had a girlfriend! and now i need to know who she was!! i really hope they show itachi's girlfriend story in the future. but what if he got her pregnant so that if sasuke dies the uchiha line wouldn't be dead?? and he killed her after she had the kid but no one knew about it?? whoa that would be an interesting twist!
