Why do you think the shroud is better?

I dont want to say something and miss or be wrong.

Thats not sand armor that auto sand defense. Sand Armor the one covering Gaara but you probably know this and decided to be broad.

Kn1 shroud is supposed to be better by hype. Grants strength, speed, healing, shroud was great for tanking.

Well the sand armor wasnt what I was referring to.

The sand has limits. Well the current Gaara sand seems to be very strong though.

True. And in the Pre-ship series, the sand seemed pretty close to allmighty. Only thing I saw beating it was lee's spinning drop kick and paunch as well as gates mode, Sasuke's Lee-imitation speed and chidori, and Gai's stare.

However I don't see sand getting past kyuubi chakra though. It is just hard to see it. Especially the preskip version.

Well its not getting through kyubbi, its comparing the two but I see what you mean. Money is still on lee but you have good points.

i know its filler...but look at the 1st ship. movie. that boulder ninja guy had crazy tanking power and drunk lee turned the tables. i would say sand armor plus sand defense is greater than chakra shroud, two layers of defense. it did take a CM2 chidori to put kn1 down but i think full gates lee could still bounce him around, he was faster than the sand...and we all know the raikage-sand speed feat...

But that's the Ship. movie, this is Pre.

Chakra shroud allows some regen, more power, a wider range, and (not sure on this since idk if this applies with KN1) chakra so potent that it poisons those who touch it.

Sand shield only blocks attacks, and it has limits.

Base Lee doesn't include gates, and canon Lee hasn't shown gates+DF.

Ship. Gaara has shown much better sand feats than Pre Gaara has. Plus Gaara blocking Ammy and Raikage kick was partially due to plot imo, I mean Kishi isn't gonna just kill Sasuke off that way, plus Raikage did a drop kick, falling speed=/=movement speed.
