Halo
I'm buying a XBOX 360 and I heard HALO is a good game for it. Is it true if it is how much do you like it.

it is the best xbox 360 game of all time... and by that i mean game that only comes on xbox 360 because the best game ever is...

It is currently the best game on Xbox 360, assuming you have Xbox Live. If you do not, I would suggest getting an RPG instead. Maybe Tales of Vesperia or Magna Carta 2.
Although, if you don't have Xbox Live. I suggest you get it ASAP. It is the best online gaming experience you will get on a console by far.

Halo is a very good FPS. The Campaign has a nice story, but the best thing about it, by far, is the Online(Xboxlive) play.
If you're looking for something more splitscreen/single player, you might try Borderlands. Its an RPS. A role playing shooter. And a good one at that. From shooting midgets to dancing robots, the game has some nice comedy scenes. The story is lacking, but you'll be so caught up in the game you wont even notice. (Atleast, I didn't.) |

Halo is a fantastic game. The best STORY mode was in Halo one, but the game beats all due to its fantastic Online game play, and extensive online community, so I suggest getting x box live gold memebership pronto if you dont already have it, its only 50$ a year. Also, Call of Duty Modern warfare 2 is a pretty good game, and has a good online multiplayer as well.
If you dont and wont have x box live, wait for these games to drop in price, but they are still worth it. A good RPS Besides the one cornbread listed above would be Mass effect, EXCELLENT game, and number two is coming out in a few months. Hope this was some good advice, and have fun with your new box!!!

Halo Combat Evolved has lackluster multiplayer (And no online), but in exchange it has a very good and satisfying campaign with a kickass story.
Halo 2 has a rather different campaign with a more difficult to understand storyline and shorter missions in greater quantity, but it makes up for that by featuring online. Halo 3 has the best graphics, and the campaign is great... Until the last two levels. Also, the story of Halo 3 SUCKS. However, the online play in Halo 3 is the best out of the three Halos. |

The only Halo game I can stand and actually enjoy is ODST. I think the rest of them are crap. (Mainly because I suck at it. xD And I don't like the guns. But that's just an opinion)
If you're getting an Xbox only and not LIVE, then I would get a game that lasts. (Not sure how long Halo is. I haven't finished campaign yet) But if you are getting LIVE, then go for it and get Halo.
