Ill go with either Zetsu decomposed of him or he gave it Madara for his use meaning possibly like said before to give Sasuke EMS.

Either Zetsu ate the body.

Or it is also possible Madara might be using Itachi's eyes for something.

madara took his eyes he like has em in his pocket (phsyco right) but there probably gonna have a zetsu family reunion or an akatsuki beach party there going to put the body in a ginat grill put an apple in his mouth n make a suckiling itachi

Dudes saskue already has EMS. Itachi gave saskue his eyes at the end of the fight. He has two mangekyos. didn't you see the look in is eyes sfterwards.

No he doesn't. He doesn't have two Mangekyos, just one.

I remember that..it still makes me wonder to this day. xD If he is still alive, then he'd probably show up near the end of the entire series to help or save Sasuke.

oh my .. If Zetsu said that Itachi-kun is not dead .. theres a big chance that he'll probably return ... we don't know anything for sure ..but IF Zetsu claims that Itachi might still be alive somewhere... my god!!!

I assume that Zetsu disposed of it, Sasuke buried it, or they burned it. I'm pretty sure Sasuke wouldn't have let Zetsu eat it though.

I don't Zetsu ate it, It's probably still laying there. If Sasuke would stop being so stubborn he'll go back and take his brothers eyes and be the strongest character
