what would you think if they made a show about the teachers as genins??

Um, that'd be kinda weird. They did do that with Kakashi though. Look up Kakashi Gaiden, or Kakashi Chronicles, you'll see what I mean. There are some episodes that show Iruka in his younger years too. That would be pretty weird. I mean, imagine Asuma, would he still have a cigarette? They've also shown young Jiraiya.

It definitely occurred. All the Konoha Jonin had to be a Genin at one point in their childhood.

i would actually love to see how the jonin's childhoods were they should make an episode or manga volume for that ^^

I don't think they could fit all the stories in 1 episode, let alone one manga volume.

well kakashi would be in the show the shortest because he was a protegee shinobi and it would be strange and possibly disapointing

important enough to be on the story line.
Like kakashi and the others too ...
