ACT test

This upcoming saturday i gotta go take my act test for the first time and im currently a junior in highschool. And ive heard of SOME MANY tips and stuff. i just wanted to hear from u guys. so any suggestions or opinons?

How do you not know? lol.

Anyways, If you do not know the answer, and have no reason to lean towards one answer or another, then always choose C.

i am 12 but heres wat you do just choose abcd for everyone and youll get it rite finaly

no offense but i take this im just guessing on the ones idk so im going to actualy try and not guess on all of em , no offense

Kuroda is right, just pick C, or another letter if you don't like C for some reason, and put that letter on every problem you don't know the answer to.

I don't remember my last overall score, but my highest was English at 34.

Actually I said C for a reason. C is the most used letter for standardized tests. So if you don't know go with C and you will have a higher probability of getting it correct.

I figured you had a reason for C, I just didn't know what it was.

I've never known that, I suppose C will be my letter from now on then.

However this only applies to standardized tests. So exams designed by individual teachers are different. Although most teachers have a favorite letter also, so if you can figure it out you can do good.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'll be taking the SATs in the winter. I already took the PSATs, so I've got that out of the way. But luckily, I've taken an AP Exam before, which is similar to these kind of tests. Get lots of sleep the night before, and don't even think about it the day before. You're just gonna stress yourself out. And eat breakfast that morning too. That'll help you focus better. Plus, these tests are long and you're gonna be starving once they're over. Also, as Kuroda mentioned, if you don't know the answer just quess. Although try to narrow you're options to at least two possible answers. You get one point for every right answer. You lose a fourth of point for every wrong answer and you don't get anything for questions that you skip. Also, if you can't figure a problem out, don't spend too long on it. Just put some kind of mark on your paper and continue answering questions. If there's time left over at the end go back and try and answer it again. You want to get as many right answers as you can within the time limit. Oh, and of you have a cell phone, leave it at home. They won't even let you into the room if you have one. They're real strict about that kind of thing. If they even suspect you off having it, they'll take your test from you. And don't look supicious, if they think you're cheating, they''l take you're test too.

SAT is different than ACT. You don't lose any points in the ACT.
