I dont think the TV has anything to do with it. I mean my PS2 will think it's a USA game so my TV should too. *shrugs*

It actually does.
PAL is the standart of the European TV system.
With PAL the TV screen is built with more lines than NTSC (Standart in US).

So you need a PAL compatible TV to play PAL related Games.

However of what I heard PAL and NTSC Games work both on HD Tv's without the problem.

Because the Final Mix games are Japanese exclusives and aside from the voices they are in Japanese so reading them will be HARD.....

Also I may as well ask V-Valentine but do I need the HD cable in my HDTV or is just having an HDTV good enough to play an import game?

hd cable will make your hd the best it can be for that system other wise it will be in standard hd
