[Hockey Otaku]

For all of you who have this burning feeling inside of you, a growling beast, saying, "Darn! I qualify for Mensa but I don't want to pay outragous membership prices!" then this is for you. I might be the only one with that burning feeling I'm such a nerd. But that's ok.

Here are a few questions. You must get all or some of them right, it is my jurisdiction judging by your age. I got these puzzles from the Mensa Page A Day calendar.

PUZZLING PRICES

The proprietor of our local grocery store has his own system of pricing items, using vowels and consonants. An eggplant is 46 cents and a carrot is 34 cents. According to the same system, how much does a melon cost?

Question 6:you may want to draw a picture for this one. There is a picture on the paper. This is the most difficult one, I think. I did it at school...I had several friends and teachers working together, but trying to solve it individually. (This was the day we got yelled at for yelling the names of alcoholic beverages )

There are six dice. Each is showing three sides. I will list the three numbers for each one.

Ok! Those aren't too hard, are they!? I think I solved them all, with the exception of part of 7, and I had help on 6.

ARTISTIC LICENSE

During a certain artist's lifetime, his name didn't draw much traffic. But today he's a big hit, and with the help of a name change, the hits keep right on coming.

Take the last name of a famous artist who cut off part of his ear. Cross out the word for a mover's truck. At then end of the remaining letters, write the word for a cheer at a bullfight. Cross out the symbol for the first element in the Periodic Table. The name of a certain board game now appears twice in a row. Transpose the letters in the second appearance of that game. Now read all the letters. The result is in line with what we said above.

I solved this in a couple minutes, after a little research.

Yeah. I believe several of them took me a whole day, as well as the help of my classmates. But keep trying.

I didn't really try the rest, I saw number 6 I kind of might have a "way" of doing it, but will probably be wrong.

#6 is way frickin harder than it looks
And number 1 is probably the easiest

I found that they were all easy, excluding number six, which the answer to is currently eluding me.

I will figure it out. I may try again tomorrow, as I currently am tired and am not thinking too clearly.
