Special: Nui Gaiden!


Chapter Twenty-Seven: Family Assassin Attempt


The sound of metal scrapping against each other was heard as Sakura Helga's lips curled into a grin. The shinobi immediately widened his eyes a bit as he heard Sakura Helga's announcement.
"Light Speed Master? Are you.......the Flash of Bright, Sakura Helga?" the enemy ninja asked, fear harboring his mind. "Why, yes. Yes I am."
Reacting by her words, the ninja suddenly gulped as sweat suddenly pelted through his skin, his eyes now only speaking of senseless fright. Just as Sakura had thought in her mind a few moments ago, the shinobi then jumped back, and turned around, and suddenly disappeared, leaving only a thin cloud of white smoke.
"Coward." Sakura muttered and then glanced back to look at the still Nui and then placed a single finger on his chest.
"Ninja Art: Disimobolizing." She said. Suddenly, Nui felt like if a great burden had just been lifted. He then quickly stood up, and was surprised to see that he could move again. Nui then looked at Sakura and then said, "Thank you, Sakura-sensei." Sakura Helga nodded and then glanced at the spot were he had escaped from. "Nui, go home. Make sure to lock the doors. I'm going to hunt that intruder down."
And with that, she immediately disappeared too, leaving only a small burst of winds as leaves flew through the air.

Several hours later, at evening, where shinobi were heading to their homes to rest, Nui sat in his house, reading a book. From what he had heard, the meeting between the ninjas were now over, and they had left their discussion at a sort of cliffhanger. The streets of the Light Clan were now once again filled with people, who were all seemingly cheerful, but some were silent, having been told classified information and were now pondering about the info they had just received.
Nui's home was enormous, but he was the only resident in it besides the servants that worked in it. The walls were painted with the drawings of majestic dragons, and ancient objects hung everywhere, just waiting to be broken one way or another. Now sitting in the library located in the center of the house, Nui sat on the floor, reading through a long scroll. Suddenly, the doors opened as two people stepped through it, all grim-faced. Nui slowly glanced up, and looked into the faces of Senso and Sakura. A timidly-looking woman stood behind them, wearing a small smile on her plain face.
"Nui, come with us." Senso muttered, and Nui knew that it was not an invitation, but an order.

"Where are we going?" Nui asked as he and Senso and Sakura quickly strolled through the now dark streets of his Clan. The street s were now empty, most of the ninjas were now tucked in their homes, soundly asleep. The sky was dark as ever, the moon shining as a dim source of light. "To the Kage's Building." Senso muttered. "Why?" Nui countered. "Sakura had caught an intruder today, the intruder whose's goal was to eliminate you. We have interrogated him, and......"
"And what?"
Senso quickly glanced down as Sakura looked at Nui with a serious expression on her face and then said, "It's your father, Nui. He sent that ninja to attempt to assassinate you." , as Nui's eyes widened in both alarm and shock.

The Onimusha Clan was always a proud clan, it's cores existing from inside the Light Clan, which heavily benefited from that. Most of the Kages in the Light Clan were in the Onimusha Family Tree, and there were a certain one that was so famous, or infamous to be exact, that every clan had heard of them. And that Kage was Nui Onimusha's father, Hisagi Onimusha. A very powerful man, he was highly respected by all around him. Then came one day, he had alone assassinated the whole Onimusha Clan, all in one single twisted night, even killing his own wife, leaving only one survivor: Nui.

Now, standing before the Kage Building, Nui gazed at it, and wondered about what he would fine beyond it, and he thought that it would forever change his life. Turned out, he was right...
