Yet again this is brought up. Why the hell would Kishimoto say that? Use your heads sometimes people. It really pisses me off when people call Naruto and Sakura's relationship like brother and sister, it just feels like a petty excuse to justify their closeness. I can understand if people see them as very close friends with a strong bond, but saying they're like siblings seems like a desperate attempt for them to deny any chance of romance happening between them. When a scene that shows how they care for each other occurs they just put it off as something siblings do.
I get the feeling that this kind of people view Naruto with an American mentality instead of a Japanese one:
1)How many American movies star a shy but well intended girl (Hinata) trying to win the love of the charismatic guy (Naruto) and succeeding? Too many to count.
2)How many American movies star an energetic girl (Sakura) who tries to change the ways of the wild bad boy (Sasuke) for the better and succeeds at making him love her? A ridiculous amount.
This is the kind of movie resolution that many people are expecting because that's what they learned should happen based on the pop culture of the west. It is also because of their American mentality that they call Sakura abusive towards Naruto. Most of them probably don't know way the heck is a
Tsundere and even if they do they don't understand how deep they go in anime culture. I'll be the first to admit that there are way better tsunderes than Sakura out there, but she's a tsundere none the less. The Japanese mentality, at least in anime, clearly shows that sometimes physical violence (especially from a girl) can be interpreted as a way of affection, either because of worry or embarrassment. On the other hand, in America, if a girl is constantly hitting you it is because she genuinely hates you, and this is the interpretation that some people take when it comes to Naruto and Sakura.

1 Hinata knows hardly
ANYTHING about Naruto. She's a stalker who watched him from the shadows and never even tried to aproch him. If she wanted Naruto to be hers she had her chance right then and there. Sakura on the other hand has been through hell and back with him. She's seen him at his best, worst, highest and lowest points. Hinata just dosen't compare too Sakura when it comes to Naruto.
2 OH MY FREAKING!............... Ok, this sibbiling relation crap...just stop. It makes your pairing look bad and flat down stupid. How are they sibbilings? Doses your sister blush and ask "do I look more womanly too you now?" when you've just met after 2 years of being seperated.

That is
not what my sister looks like when asking me how she looks. As for Hinata, it is completely within her character to be happy when Naruto is happy. This includes when another girl is showing affection towards him. Also, what does "trust" have to do with anything? Just because Hinata has put her feelings out on the table doesn't mean Naruto can't still show interest in someone else. And please don't bring up a "development" argument if you're arguing for NH, it just makes you look like an idiot.
