Re: 35 Tickets
"Did you really kiss Eric?" Rosalie asked. We were sitting in the living room of her condo.
"Yeah." I said. "I did."
"Of all people. I thought you would kiss Dakota over Eric." Maylena said smiling. "So does that mean you two are-"
I shook my head. "I don't even know what had gotten into me."
"Spur of the moment?" Dakota asked.
"I think so." I said. Now that I was thinking about it, Eric was kind of cute and since I'd started talking to him, I found out he was really cool. "I mean he's actually not that bad once you get to know him. He's acutally a bit of a dork."
"So do you like him?" Rosalie asked.
"A bit, to be honest." I sighed. Maylena and Rosalie smiled at each other. I already knew they were plotting something. I looked over at Aaron. He hadn't said a word since I mentioned kissing Eric. He wouldn't even look in my direction. He was too occupied with his phone, no doubt texting Megan. Suddenly my phone vibrated. I took it out and tapped the screen.
So how'd he taste?
I looked up at Aaron. He looked at me with an eyebrow lifted. I rolled my eyes. Leave it to Aaron to ask that question. I smiled a bit and started typing the words 'probably better than you would'. His eye twitched when he got the text.
"So how many tickets do you have?" Rosalie asked.
"Twelve." I answered.
"Where'd you get twleve?" Dakota asked.
"I took six from Calvin and two from some random kid." I said. "On top of the four I already had. I don't know who else has any."
"Megan has three." Aaron said. He looked over and froze when he saw the look on my face. "Mira....."
"She's got tickets and I want tickets. Just because she's your girlfriend doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on her." I said codly. Finally a reason I can kick her ass and not make myself look like a jealous idiot. I was being to like Tickets.
"So what happened with Calvin. I heard that one got a bit bad for a moment." Dakota said.
"It started off as a normal fight, but after he had his face slammed into the ground he pulled a knife on me. So at the end of the fight he was stuck to a wall, a knife through his hand, and unconcious." I shrugged. "I'd knocked Jacob out not even five minuets beofre."
"Damn." Rosalie laughed. "You're probably the most vicious one of us all."
"And violent." Maylena said. "I'll hit people, but never would I stab someone with a knife."
"You're too soft, that's why." Dakota said. "Aaron's shot someone before, I've stabbed someone before. That's ths reason we're in a delinquent school in the first place. What about you girls?"
"I just never listen." Maylena shrugged.
"I used to steal all the time." Rosalie said. "How do you think I got my car?"
"I was just a flat out trouble maker." I sighed. "I did just about eveything an eleven year old could do wrong."
"Besides that." I said glaring at Dakota. He held up his hands defensivly.
"I shot one of my teachers and threatened to kill my father once." Aaron sighed.
"Why would you shoot a teacher?" Rosalie asked.
"I used to live in a really bad city. I mean it was so bad there I got my hand smacked and told not to do it again. But the reason I shot her was she was hitting me with a pipe because I wouldn't do something she told me to." Aaron rolled his eyes.
"Was the teacher alright?" Maylena asked.
"Nope. I killed her." He said simply.
It sent a chill down my spine just thinking of how he could say that and not care.
"Why would you kill a someone?!" Rosalie asked in outrage.
"You've never felt what it's like to have your life threatened have you? She tired to kill me. I had to do something and that was the only think I could think of. Ask Mira what it feels like. I'm pretty sure she had the thought in her head when she saw the knife." Aaron said looking at the cealing.
"I did. The first thing I thought was this kid's going to kill me." I said. "And when that knife was in my hand there was that split second thought of killing him. You'd understand his reasoning better if you were ever in a situation where you were almost conviniced you were going to die, or at least think you are."
"I did end up going to court eventually, but someone managed to talk the jury into seeing things from my eyes. I got lucky was cleared of all charges, but if it ever happens again, I'm done for."
"What's it feel like to kill someone?" Maylena asked.
Aaron hesitated. "This is going to sound extremely strange and it's probably going to scare you. It's not the greatest feeling in the world. but its not the worst, or at least that's how I feel. It just gave me this really weird, good feeling."
The room was silent. I could already see it in Rosalie's eyes that she was a bit nervous now. Even Dakota seemed a bit scared.
"My older brother said the same thing when he first killed someone." I said. "He told us the first Christmas he was back from the war. My mom nearly had a heartattack."
"So let me get this straight." Dakota said looking at Aaron. "It felt good...to kill someone."
"Yeah." He answered. "I know it scared you. Make that face, move away if you want. I'm used to it. Just know this. I don't kill for fun or for the feeling it gives me. If I ever kill someone again, its because either my life was threatened or the life of someone I care about was threatened."
Darling, you'd make a lovely corpse.
