Chapter Fifteen - The Dark Rangers
"Kisekis' platoon of high ranking rangers were defeated." A general spoke to the rest of their council.
"So...it is too much for mortals to handle after all." Muttered the head general, nicknamed 'Origin', his lightning blue body lines illuminating the darkness.
"Then, the time has come..." Another spoke.
"No Maki, we will send the dark rangers." Origin cut him off.
Undead spoke up, "The dark rangers? But they're the worst that humanity has to offer. Besides, why beat around the bush, let us go and end this."
"Our mortals are too weak to change what has begun? Time will answer that my friends." Origin ended the meeting.

Lolohwd stood before three figures, the lead figure was holding a seal, it bore the symbol of the high general Origin.
"Hmm...the high general Origins' seal...direct orders for us?"
"Yes Sagemaster, do only what you do best." Lolohwd responded.
"Heh heh heh, very good, our great leader Origin needs us, and he says we can do whatever we like? Very good indeed." The ranger called Sagemaster began laughing.

"Origin? Origin?" Lolohwd spoke to Origin after giving Sagemaster and his group their orders.
"It's nothing Lolohwd, nothing for you to worry about."
After a moment of silence, Lolohwd spoke again.
"Their auras...so dark, the dark rangers. Why must we use their kind? To go so far." Lolohwd inquired.
"Why you ask? I think...the people here, in pain...maybe I want mankind to writhe here in this dark world...forever." Origin responded.
"As do I," Lolohwd spoke again, "The outside world, although devoid of human life, is still in harmony, if humans were to roam the topside world once more, that harmony could be upset."
Origin was thinking back,
A figure that resembled Rasen walked towards the great dragon Matsuro, the dragons' eyes flashed to life as it watched the figure approached.
"What is this? Origin?" The dragon almost seemed to chuckle "Come to mourn the past?"
The figure seemed to ripple, then it was Origin standing there, the illusion of Rasen dispelled.
Matsuro roared angrily, "Away Origin, I have no time for your games! I must find another chosen now I have been re-activated!"
"Yes, time is running out...for both of us, Matsuro."
Origin spoke again, "Let us wait, and see what becomes of our dragon."

Rasen and the others were taking a short rest, a short way from the mid district living area.
Tempest was a short way ahead of the others, speaking to someone on a portable radio.
"Yes...the rangers put up a fight, but it was handled." She spoke into the radio.
A voice responded, "And the humanoid? You're bringing it here, in good condition?"
"No...with regards to that, I have her with me, but her lungs and filtering organs have been badly damaged." Tempest responded.
"And they can't be replaced?"
"No...but I believe that she may be able to be saved if we take her to the surface." Tempest finished before turning off the radio and returning to the others.

Maikeru had returned to base after fleeing from Rasen.
"Maikeru!" Another ranger caught up with him. Maikeru turned, "I heard the strangest thing, they say captain Kiseki is dead, and you were the only one who got out alive."
Maikeru shrugged and turned to leave.
"Wait, I'm not finished!" The other rangers voice sounded accusing now, "You ran away! You left them to die! Coward! Too bad Mr. Elite, you're finished after the brass hears about this."
Maikeru spoke, still not facing the other ranger, "Ran away? Me? Maikeru? The future general?"
"Yeah, you! You lost, Rasen beat you!"
Maikeru was remembering, training with his father,
A massive kaijuu approached Maikeru, who was no older than 5 years old.
"F-Father! H-help me!" He was visible shaking with fright.
"No fear Maikeru, remain calm, fear clouds your vision and hides your foe. That way only lies death." Destruction told his son. "You have power Maikeru, yet you do not know how to use it, you are a warrior! Fight! kill!"
"I-I'll show them my power!" Maikeru thought.
The next few minutes were a haze, then the kaijuu lie dead on the ground in front of Maikeru, blood covered most of Maikerus' body, blood from the massive beast in front of him.
"I-I did it...father, I did it father! I did it!"
"I am pleased, enough for today." Destruction turned and left the room.
Maikeru thought, "I'll show them, I'm strong, I'll....."
Maikeru snapped from his thoughts, blade flashing, fury on his face and he chopped off the other rangers hand, blood splattering everywhere, the other rangers face paled, shock and fear in his eyes.
Maikeru spoke again "Yes...Rasen, exactly, Rasen must die...."
