Chapter Seven - Reunion
Rasen, Tempest and Hikari had been walking for some time.
"Let's rest for a bit." Rasen spoke up, needing some time to think things over.
Rasen sat down on an old metal box, he gazed at the ground, thinking about everything that had happened today. Tempest stood nearby, watching as Hikari searched aimlessly through a pile of trash, keeping herself occupied.
"So, ranger. Aren't you curious? Don't you want to know what she is?" She asked suddenly.
Rasen glanced over at her, "Would you tell me even if I asked, criminal?"
Tempest thought for a while, she seemed to be mulling over something. "Truth is...I don't even know, I wasn't told." Tempest gazed at the wings on Hikaris' back, then she spoke again.
"This world you're trying to protect, I don't think it's worth it."

Several people sat in a semi-dark room, shadows obscured their faces.
"Man will gain wings....Undead....tell us again." One of them said.
"Yes...man will gain wings, and the sky will return to the world." The lone female member of the group replied, "It was a clear vision, but I don't think it's time has come."
An older member spoke up then. "I concur, I don't see man growing wings any time soon."
Another member, who had lightning blue lines that glowed in the darkness all over his body, shook his head slowly. "Fools, doomed to their fate." He thought.

"We've reached the waste districts' town." Tempest spoke as the group walked through the makeshift houses that were built around the piles of trash.
"It's so sad...." Rasen said, looking at the few people that watched the three pass them by, "These are the people that the government forgot..."
"Yes, but we have no time to linger here, I sympathise with them, but we have other things to do right now." Tempest replied. As much as she seemed indifferent to these peoples situation, the look in her eyes clearly gave away that she felt their pain, this is the kind of thing that Hizoku wanted to prevent.
"Lets hurry up and get through here." She said, her voice had a slight hint of emotion.
Rasen nodded and the three quickly passed through the remainder of the town and soon found themselves on the waste district freight station.
"It's not much further." Rasen said, "We will be in lowdistrict soon."
As they continued on, Rasen heard a rushing noise and a loud horn, he spun and was blinded by the light of a freight lifts' head light as it pulled into the station. As Rasen watched, three people stepped off, last of them was Maikeru.
"Maikeru!" Rasen quickly walked towards his friend, "Maikeru, you made it too!"
