Re: Maikeru Shinigami: The Mysterious Blood
Episode 10
Retreating to Rogue
Spoiler:
.......With Kotetsu reverting back to his human form, Maikeru released his pillar dropping Kotetsu to the ground. Kotetsu, out of stupidity, went to grab his sword, but Maikeru sent a giant arm of blood out of his arm to grab the sword and handed it to Ketsueki.
Maikeru: If he doesn't cooperate with us, I want you to stab him in the heart. Now, Kotetsu, please continue. This is your last warning.
Kotetsu: *sigh* .... Fine, I will come clean. It was about thirty years ago we were all members of the Village Hidden in Ruins back then. There was this one night, Ketsueki was hanging around Randari's house the same night that his family had invited Torilini Yonbicki, the twelfth Isekikage over to their house for supper. You were all sitting around having a merry old time while I was stuck at home listening to my parents bitching and bickering. All they ever would do was whine and complain at each other or beat me and tell me I was worthless. I had tried to tell the both of you before but you would never listen so I decided to take action. My parents were two of the most vile werewolves to ever walk the face of the Earth, but they always acted so sweet and so innocent outside of our house. Three months before the night when the twelfth Isekikage came to your house for supper, when I had told everyone that they "disappeared" on a mission, what I really meant is that I had killed them in their sleep the night before. How did I dispose of the bodies, you ask? You see, there was a chamber under my bedroom floor I never told anyone about. As I said, I sliced both of them up in their sleep and took their bodies down to my chamber. It was a dark and dusty chamber, spider webs all over the place. In the corner of the room there was a giant wheel, a water wheel, which I had connected to a tunnel beneath the ground into what then was an empty river, I hid their organs and dipped their blood into the river, and with that my lust for werewolf blood began. Soon enough, people were dying left and right and as the river kept getting higher and higher, so my intention to kill did as well. No one in the village would have ever suspected poor little Kotetsu Yumiotsu was the one killing off all those ninja, how could he? He was just a Genin.
Ketsueki: Okay, I get this part of the story, and I am utterly shocked that such a kind, caring sweet young boy would do such a thing. Where did you go wrong? What does this have to do with Randari and I? Tell me everything.
Kotetsu: It's simple, it's both of you guys fault that my lust for blood grew. You never listened to me when I said my parents were abusing me, you wouldn't believe me. Everyone called me a whack job and shunned me. They all had to die, especially all those damned werewolves, like your friend Randari here. I decided though, that I had a better punishment for the two of you, I decided to sever the bonds of friendship between the two of you. Ketsueki, you always put Randari ahead of me. The three of us were supposed to be friends, but the more you two started drifting away from me, the more my jealousy grew. I wanted some real friends, friends who would listed to my problems, friends who would believe what I said, and you didn't meet that description. I wished to be Randari minus the lack of compassion of course. wanted what he had, loving parents, good friends, and most of all, I wanted you Ketsueki, to pay attention to me. You were always known as the best advice-giver in the village, but you would never use that for me. All your attention went to the "perfect" Randari. So, back to the night when Torilini came to your house. It was not your parents who had invited him, it was me. I deceived your parents into believing that it was them through the power of my hidden genjutsu. The two of you came home from the Ninja Academy that day and my plan was set into action. I had it implemented into Randaris parents' minds that Randari was allowed to spend the night. While the two of you were asleep, I stole the Isekikage's favorite cape and sprinkled some foul blood onto it, creating a deadly poison and then concealed it inside of a bag. Since, it was said that only the Isekikage of the Village Hidden in Ruins could open the bag, I made that so. I then used my genjutsu to create a note forged in Ketsueki's handwriting telling the Isekikage that he had forgot his cape at your house. I also left a second note underneath it in Ketsueki's handwriting asking Randari to deliver it to the Isekikage. So, the next morning you woke up, and I had your squad captain take you out on a mission. You were still unaware of the bag I had left for you because I was waiting outside of your house. After you left, I snuck into your house and laid the bag on the table for Randari. To my dismay, your mother walked in as I was doing that, so I put a special jutsu on her causing her to become mute as I grabbed her and carried her over into my house. While there I gutted her, put her remaining body parts in my special hidden place and dipped her blood into the river I was creating. I killed about four thousand ninja to make that river, not just werewolf blood either. Some of it belonged to the blood of dragons, and other creatures.
Ketsueki: So, you were the one who killed my mother? I was told she died in the war, but you killed her. You are, as Maikeru said, a despicable bastard.
Kotetsu: Call me what you wish, but this was all your fault, and all Randari's fault. Anyways, that morning, Randari saw the second note and read it, leaving the first note on it and took it up to the Isekikage's office. When the Isekikage smelled the stench of foul blood he immediately ordered Randari's execution, so I had to step in. I used my genjutsu, from outside the office making the Isekikage change his mind and just making Randari leave the village. My genjutsu would only give me a twenty four hour limit on anyone I used it on. More than enough time to betray everyone. With this done, and the handwriting on the notes, I had created the perfect alibi. I knew Randari would never again trust Ketsueki and because of that they both suffered and I accomplished one of my goals. As the Isekikage left the room a few minutes later, I asked him if he could come to my house and talk to me. He agreed, what he didn't know is what I was planning. As he walked into the room, I threw on his old cape which I had put an antidote on to stop the poison and stabbed him in the back with a chakra-depleting kunai and his chakra went down to nothing. I then sliced him open and put him in my water wheel flowing his blood into the river. Unbeknownst to me though a small hint of blood from the Isekikage's cape dripped off into the river which had to be what created Maikeru. I walked back upstairs trying to figure out how I was going to cover for this one. Fortunately, the CoKage of the village walked in at that time, since he was a vampire and the Isekikage was a werewolf, I had the perfect plan. I asked the CoKage, if he could help me with some ninja homework. He sat beside me and wrote everything out for me as I memorized his handwriting. I then forged a note saying that someone else had killed the Isekikage, but due to everyone else knowing his handwriting the werewolves all believed it was him while the vampires sensed tricekry. The vampires and werewolves argued over what to believe and thus started the feud that still fuels between the two races today. Why did I risk being caught as a Genin, you ask? I didn't care, I felt my cunning and trustworthy personality would get me by, but if anyone figured me out, then so be it. If I would have had to live in a world the way it was back then I would have preferred to be dead anyways. Randari, Ketsueki, I am the reason you two hate each other. It's because of me that this war happened. I am the greatest ninja on Earth and neither of you can surpass me. As the war began, we ran out of the village, little did I know when we ran through the river we had been touched by Maikeru's kekkansawari. You know the rest of the story and up until this day, my plan had been going perfectly, but now it has come back and bit me in the ass.
Maikeru: Well done, you told the story and for that your life will be spared, for now. I will grant you free passage into this world, with the chakra leech, but I want to ask. Ketsueki and Randari, do you have any final words to say to your "friend" before he leaves.
Ketsueki: He is no friend of mine. If I wanted to I would kill him now, but after all you have done Kotetsu, I would rather know you are suffering in a world where you can't kill anyone anymore. Take this never-ending torment as my revenge for killing my mother.
Randari: And for destroying our bond of friendship for so long.
Ketsueki: That too, most definitely that too. Randari, what about you, do you want to tell him anything?
Randari: I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I never listened to you when you came to me with your problems. I'm sorry I wasn't a true friend to you. I wish I could turn back time and help, but I can't.
Kotetsu: Your apologies are meaningless to me now. I don't give a damn about either of you heartless bastards and that's the way it is.
Ketsueki: Even after all those years of training you and helping you become more powerful, you still hate me?
Kotetsu: What you do for me doesn't change the fact of what you didn't do for me. I knew that by training with you I could learn all your moves and knew that I would one day kill you. You are lucky this Maikeru guy came into the picture or your blood would be in that river as well.
Ketsueki: I see, well then, I bid you good riddance. I hope to never see you again Kotetsu Yumiotsu. I would kill you right now, but as I said, in this case, living is a more suitable punishment, I want to see you tormented, I want to see you in anguish.
Randari: I have nothing else to say to you Kotetsu, this will be my own revenge for not showing your compassion and accepting my apology.
Kotetsu: I lack the ability to feel compassionate anymore, especially for the likes of you, filthy werewolf.
.......With that, Randari tried to come after Kotetsu, but was too weak to move.
Maikeru: As you have admitted your sins, I will set you free. Just as promised, chakra leech intact and if I ever see your face again it will be too soon.
.......At that moment, Maikeru stepped onto the wasteland, cancelling out all the genjutsu he had used to put his plan together and with his now much weaker power, he implanted the chakra leech into Kotetsu's body that would go off anytime Kotetsu used a jutsu with the intent to kill.
Maikeru: You are all set, your chakra is back, but use it wisely. Have a nice life, Kotetsu Yumiotsu.
.......Kotetsu immediately disappeared out of site, not knowing if he would ever cross paths with any of them ever again.
