Chapter Ninety-Five: Times Ain't Gonna Get Easier
Note: It's Sunday, and usually, I don't post a chapter, but for now, I will due to me being bored. Just a precaution, I may not finish this chapter today, so it'll be finished tomorrow, on Monday, as usually.
Holding a hand-sized metallic ball in the palms of his left hand, Hari grasped the confiscated sub-machine gun, his finer pressing on the trigger with the intent to kill. As a monstrous aura seemed to glow around him, Hari then glanced beyond him, where a group of ninety-six heavily-armored enemies, counting the woman in jeans at the center, stood, awaiting for him to attack.
His eyes gleaming, Hari then tossed the metallic ball into the large room. As it descended, rolling leisurely towards the group of men, the men in response immediately broke into fire, as several bullets struck the ball, the sound of metal clanging against metal. Immediately on impact, the ball burst, breaking in half, as green-colored gas immediately broke out from the broken metallic ball. The gas quickly spread, like a virus, soon covering the whole room, along with part of the intersection. Now clouded, Hari quickly began his operation as he immediately broke into a dash, his face now clad in a stealthy-like white gas mask to prevent him from breathing in the gas. Meanwhile, as Hari ran, somewhat able to see through the gas, several of the men in black guarding the were coughing repeatedly from the green gas, their eyes bulging out sickly as their breathing slowly got shallower and shallower as cries of uncontrollable laughter screeched across the room. "It's laughing knock-out gas," one men managed to murmur between laughing uncontrollably as he attempted to put on a gas mask. After a bit of struggling, he managed to succeed, along with the other men.
By now, all enemies were stabilized and prepared, all donning gas masks. However, the green gas still was present, clouding them from Hari's presence, who ran throughout the room with graceful yet silent steps. "Get out of the way!" the woman in the center of the pack yelled sharply with a American accent, as all subordinates in her way quickly nodded and began to feel their way through to give their leader a way out. She wore tight blue jeans and a plain white t-shirt, along with a belt; long dirty blond hair fell into her waist, as deep blue eyes penetrated her goal and lips coated with red lipstick accompanied the eyes.
In a matter of seconds, the leader was given her exit, and as she walked ahead of the group, she then tossed her own riot shield onto the ground. With her weapons strapped onto her back, she then formed a handsign, as Hari, who was hiding in the gas, narrowed his eyes. She's a Shinobi?! he thought surprisingly, Then this won't be as easy as I had planned.
"Wind Release: Short Gust!" the leader said, holding her right hand open in front of her, as a lartge spiral of wind began to adjust in her palm. Quickly, it continued to spun faster, drawing the green gas away in a couple of seconds. That will get rid of the hindrance, she thought, as she began to scan around the room, along with the other men. However, what they found was no sign of Hari, who was obviously well-hidden.
Meanwhile, Hari was standing ten meters north of the female leader and her group. Loading his sub-machine gun, he then immediately pressed the trigger and then held it for two seconds, unleashing a rain of more then three hundred deadly bullets. Immediately as his finger left the trigger, Hari broke into a silent dash, as the bullets headed for the female leader and her group. "This is just a nuisance," the woman said simply, as she then reached for the fencing sword, a rapier, strapped onto her shoulders. As the bullets approached her, she then murmured, "Fencing Art: Cancion de la Muerte(Song of Death)." Immediately, the woman slashed with her rapier a single time, as the barrage of more three hundred bullets passed her.
Less than a second later, all sleek bullets fell short before the group of men, all smoking, each cut cleanly in half. The woman then gracefully twirled her rapier, then throwing it upwards in the air as she then immediately spun around in a flash, her left hand waving as her eyes narrowed. Spinning completely around, she quickly moved her eyes to head-level, seemingly catching an unknown object. "I'm not that stupid, baka," she mocked, as a grunt then was heard from whatever object she was holding firmly.
"I'm guessing you're a Trillion?" Hari asked curiously, as he abruptly reappeared. His left hand, balled in a fist, was held firmly by the woman, who offered a smiling shrug. "To be honest, I'm only a Google." she replied, as the men behind Hari began to shoot, unleashing several dozen bullets. At that immediately moment, the rapier twirled downwards, as the woman then caught it effortlessly with her free hand and slashed forwards, aimed at beheading Hari.
Dodging evasively, Hari quickly ducked, dodging the woman's attack. Meanwhile, the woman quickly pulled back her sword and grabbed it with both hands and then attempted to stab downwards at Hari, who quickly sidestepped, as the tip of the blade punctured the ground, cracking it. "Don't shoot at me, you dimwits!" the woman then yelled as she sidestepped several times, dodging the bullets that were intended for Hari, who was now running. As Hari ran, he shot with his machine gun, unleashing more than a hundred bullets, all aimed at the men who were attempting to reload. However, the bullets were blocked by riot shields carried by other men, who immediately began firing on Hari.
"I'm guessing you guys on Googles too?" Hari asked, flipping through the air as the bullets whizzed past him. "They wish," the woman cut in, running towards Hari with her rapier out. "Fortunately for you, they're only Googleplexes." she then continued, attempting a sharp lunge at Hari, who dove back, barely evading her attack. Quickly getting up, Hari then glanced back at the wall, where a round crater was now, having been recently been created, likely from the raw power of the woman's lunge. Meanwhile, several bullets were speeding towards Hari, who had noticed it just at the last possible moment. Realizing that it was too late to evade, Hari thought, Hitokiri Ato: Koukifu(Assassination Art: Steel Skin)! Hari thought, as the bullets made contact with his body, only to bounce off of him.
As the bullets clattered onto the wall behind him, blood then began to drip from different points on Hari's body: on his forehead, left hand, right leg, and shoulders. The bullets managed to somewhat penetrate through the reinforced steel?!? Hari then thought, as the woman then attacked him in a form of a powerful thrust. Hitokiri Ato: Koukifu(Assassination Art: Steel Skin)," Hari thought, as his skin immediately became several times harder than reinforced steel.
Raising his hand in an attempt to stop the rapier, Hari's eyes then narrowed in surprise as his enemy's blade tip then stabbed into his hand, harder than reinforced steel, and through, as the tip barely penetrated into the left side of his chest.
What the hell?! Hari thought as a sudden shadow abruptly appeared behind him, overlapping him by far, as Hari then glanced backwards, to see a huge object attempting to attack him, holding a large weapon as well. Quickly, he reacted, retreating in the only direction he can between the two enemies as the rapier was pulled back. Leaping away, Hari barely evaded, as a large object smashed down upon the ground he was on a split second ago. As he landed softly on the ground on his feet, a dusk cloud had been created from the attack. Glancing to his right, Hari then saw several dozen hundred bullets whizzed towards him.
Reacting, Hari then took his sub-machine gun to shoulder-level and began firing at approximate directions. As he fired a few at the walls, he then coiled, now attempting to dodge. Meanwhile, the bullets he had shot made impact at the walls. On impact, the bullets ricocheted, as it shot towards the horde of bullets heading towards Hari. Each of the few bullets taking out a few dozen at a time, it ricocheted on the opposite wall, taking out another few dozen bullets each, and continued to repeat the pattern for another couple of times.
With half the bullets now taken out, Hari then immediately ducked, going into a full dive as his head dived down along with his body, as the bullets clattered the wall behind him, burying themselves in it. Breathing in relief, Hari then hastily stood up, as out of nowhere, from the dust cloud, a sleek and large silver spiked ball, attacked to a silver chain, shot out. Striking Hari with full throttle, Hari was struck in the face, on the left side of his head. From the impact, he flew the whole fifty+ meters, finally crashing into the opposite wall. Immediately on impact, a dust cloud was made, as the silver spiked ball then collapsed, as something began pulling the chains back from the dust cloud in the opposite wall of the room, the spiked ball in turn was slowly pulled out from the dust cloud. With the spiked ball now in view, the men in black, guarding the door, could see fresh blood on it.
"You think we got him, Nene?" a hard, veteran-like voice said, hiding in the dust cloud. "Probably not, knowing who he is." another nearby voice replied; it was the woman's voice. As the brief chat ended, a figure stepped out of the dust cloud: it was the woman, also known as Nenebroso Numero, or Nene by some. Grasping her blood-stained rapier, she had a fresh smile on her face, as several large stomps was heard behind her, as a shadow then appeared. Little-by-little, with each large stomp, the shadow grew larger and larger, soon overlapping Nene.
Eventually, the figure stepped passed through the dust cloud; he was a large man of tall stature, at the very least eight feet tall. He had broad shoulders and was clad in a sleek black fur coat with the hood pulled back. The coat covered a black tuxedo, which was accompanied by a blue and white striped tie along with black pants and slick boots. The huge man had a manly mustache, along with cold, caput mortuum-colored, narrow eyes and a sharp nose, all wrapped up with a military-like scowl. However, what was most distinguishing was that on all parts of his skin was countless scars, forever etched.
The man's name was Matthews Buccaneer, an ex-Marines' officer and also a Google. "Let's get this over with!" he shouted, pulling his chain sharply. In response, the enormous spiked ball flew back in response, only to be caught effortlessly by Buccaneer with one hand.
"You're right," Hari murmured, coughing up blood. Hidden in the dust cloud, he slowly stood up. Slowly, he walked past the dust cloud, limping, to face Buccaneer and Nene. "Indeed, let's get this over with." he finished, walking out, holding his sub-machine gun in one hand and his handgun in the other.
