Chapter Seventy-Three: MEAT!!! Particularly of Sea King Variety.
: My recent days of school has went off somewhat decent, in my opinion at least. My load of homework got lightened, and from what I've seen, I may not, hopefully, have to attend to school on Thursday if it snows to the extreme! If it happens so, I'll have more time to write more chapters; as well as more time for my daily work. Also, I'm hoping I won't have to go to school on Friday as well. But hey, do get your hopes up and wish for heavy-duty snow or hail to the extreme!! xDD
Echoes of a thunderstorm brewed outside. Lightning sparkled in the now dark sky as thunder occasionally came up with a large boom. Wet rain rapidly shot down. Sounds of powerful tidal waves were heard as the crest point slowly overcame the trough point, and the wave was destroyed. A figure stood on the soft grass, overlooking at the sea and its destructive waves from a small cliff which had been man-made by an explosion which had likely been caused recently. The figure said nothing, his eyes wide in utter shock, yet he remained alert, in case an enemy was possibly near by.
The man was dressed in a classic Marines low-ranked uniform. He wore a white short-sleeved shirt emblazoned of with the "noble" Marine emblem. The white shirt was accompanied by a tight blue neckerchief, dark blue trousers, and to wrap it all up, a baseball cap which had the words "Marine" in capital letters. The man was a Marine Officer.
As he glanced from one corner to the other, a group of unconscious men were behind him, all in tattered clothes as well as barely on the verge of being alive. The group had six men in total, all tied together by an extremely durable iron rope with reinforced Sea Stone. Several dozen bodies were behind the six, all likely dead.
Shocked, the low-ranked Marine took out a portable radio from his trouser pockets and quickly turned the signal dial to the nearest channel. A sharp static cry emerged, hurting his ears. Then, slowly, after a set of static, came a reply. "Hello, is it you, Marine Seaman Apprentice?" a person said from another radio nearby. "Yes, I'm here to cover a report. You're going to shocked to hear this.." the Seaman Apprentice Marine Officer said, still shocked as he gazed at the remains of the Triangular Island.
Not so far away, about fifty miles afar was a small ship. The ship contained the basic features of a ship, its sails having the Marine emblem on it. It was clearly a ship of the Marines. There were at least twenty-five Marine Officers on there, ten being Seaman First Classes, five having the rank of Petty Officer, one being a Warrant Officer, and the Captain of the small yet fine ship being an Ensign himself. The ship, fortunately, was under a clear sky, far away from the thunderstorm in the seas of the Triangular Island. As Chore Boys Officers swept the deck with their mops, inside a cabin of the small ship, two men sat, facing each other between a wooden table. Both were sitting on cerulean blue plastic stack chairs, surrounded by the cabin's four wooden walls. The cabin had no particular feature besides the chair and the table, and a large scroll which leaned on the wooden cabin floors.
The two man both wore different clothes. One man wore the clothes of a low-ranked Marine Officer, despite the fact that he was a Warrant Officer. The only difference was a red baseball cap which he wore backwards on his head in a style, along with a gold jewelry necklace on his throat. He had dirty blond hair which was curled up and spiky in the back of his head. His name was Waro. The other man was the Captain himself. Clearly an Ensign, he wore a long-sleeved pinstriped orange shirt covered partially by a black vest. He had a loosened tie on his neck; the tie was accompanied by a white Marine coat with the Japanese kanji
Justice on the back. He had bright red spiky hair, which reached below shoulder length. His name, Yosuke Hirabank.
Waro, meanwhile, had a radio. His eyes were on it, as his right hand grasped an ink quill, the black ink slowly dripping onto the paper it was under. "Uh-huh, hmm, humph." he mumbled in reply, offering no true comment to the officer who was talking rapidly in the Triangular Island. Eventually, after ten minutes or so, another sharp static emerged from the radio, signalling of disconnection. Waro sighed as he placed the radio down softly on the table and glanced at Yosuke. "So it's Shikiteru D. Garp?" he questioned, his eyes lazily half opened.
Waro nodded. "That's the most likely answer, after all, it's Shikiteru D. Garp we're talking about."
"The man who had destroyed a continent, the legendary Shikiteru D. Garp." Yosuke quoted, lacing his hands together. Waro nodded, as then all of a sudden, a yell came from the door leading to the main deck. The yell abruptly ended, as a moan in pain was heard, followed by a moan in pain and then, a dull thud of a body collapsing. "What was that?" Waro asked, reaching for his large summoning scroll. Yosuke in reply reached for the inside pocket of his Marine coat, as a soft knock came from the door. The small knock was then followed off as the cabin suddenly drastically heated up. Waro and Yosuke both stood up from their chairs, as Waro hung on his summoning scroll while Yosuke quickly pulled out a handgun.
Their eyes were on the door; Waro's eyes narrowed as he heard a bubble pop and he found himself looking at magma, which slowly burned the door away. In a matter of nanoseconds, the door was reduced to nothing, as a figure stepped in, somehow managing to avoid the slow magma beneath him. Yosuke's left eyebrow raised in question, as he and his Vice-Captain, Waro found themselves looking at a figure.
"Yo, you guys have any Sea King Meat?" Patty asked.
"Wind Release: Sonic Boom," Rose murmured, her palms facing the direction under her. Immediately, an enormous sonic boom pushed off, as Rose immediately flew upwards at Miranda, who grinned from the sight of seeing so. Current Speed Level: Mach 15.8
, she thought as Rose suddenly vanished, reappearing just before Miranda, fist drawn. Miranda quickly evaded the fist, her reaction time now much faster, as she flew several dozen meters back, now using a nearby skyscraper as cover. Rose, however, her punch now aimed at the skyscraper Miranda was using as a cover. Rose then formed a single handsign. "Ice Release: White Fist." she said. Almost immediately, she punched it the glass, as her fist shot in completely, and from the raw power of the fist alone, the skyscraper immediately crumbled in return, debris flying down. Strength Striking Power: Class 100
, Miranda quickly calculated, flying out of the way of the falling debris.
Rose in reply immediately began to form handsigns. Ice Release, Partisan!
she thought, as a spear made out of ice, accompanied by several other floating ice spears appeared. Swiftly, she threw it at Miranda with all her might, as the spear flew, spinning rapidly as it did. Miranda replied so by flying downwards a few meters, evading the spear. Speed Level of Partisan: Mach 11.008
, Miranda once again calculated as the other spears of ice flew themselves, directed at the vampire. Rose, meanwhile was beginning to lose altitude. She was now rapidly performing handsigns. Handseal Performance Speed Level: Mach 38.6
, Miranda calculated, her grin still intact. I guess it's time to end this
, the vampire then thought bitterly, as she promptly licked her fangs.
"Wind Release: Sonic Boom!" Rose said, in her usual position as the large sonic boom emerged, and she was sent towards Miranda. As usual, she disappeared for a moment. Current Speed Level: 18.0001
, Miranda calculated lastly as Rose suddenly reappeared behind her, ready to attack. However, she was too slow, as Miranda spun in a flash, her hand out. Quickly, she caught Rose in the neck. Grasping Rose's throat, she licked her blood red lips, as all of a sudden, the sound of ice cracking was heard, and Miranda glanced at Rose, caught in a pillar of ice which hung from the ground all the way up, even beyond the majestic clouds.
"Absolute Zero," Miranda commented, "It's unfortunate that you have been caught in my Genkaku Yochi
