No they are not. See you have sex, you have screwing because that other word is not allowed, and you have making love. You can have sex with any one and walk away... It is when you make love that intercourse and love become one in the same. THAT is worth the wait, and so much better than just plain old sex. The problem is most guys view sex differently than most girls. So what maybe be love with sex to a girl is just sex to a guy. And I am done with this subject....

Love and sex (together or apart) can be whatever the individual wants them to be. Their relation can exist or not exist, it is dependent on the mind that is perceiving it.

To be honest sex without love has no real meaning...I for one feel immeasurable amounts of passion, love etc when having sex with someone I love..and I definitly think that it is better to do it with someone you love and care for rather than going around randomly banging people you have no connections with.

What happens if you just "like" somebody? Assuming sex and love are related, liking and heavy petting are related, too. Strongly Disliking somebody means you give them hugs freely.

Sex can be easily be about pleasure, so this would be a no in most cases. The again, some of the longest lasting contemporary relationships are based in frequent sex, according to sex gurus. But meh, your guess is as good as mine. :3
