I agree with Zero though I would increase it a tad due to the gay marriage thing and the birth certificate..what would probably solidify a guarantee is if the republicans through in a tea party candidate.

Maybe slightly, but it doesn't really change my opinion on him. My opinion being that he's not the worst candidate in the world. Depending who's running against him, I'd vote for him.

We need to wait a couple more days. History is hasn't been clear on this. G. H. W Bush won the Persian Gulf War with a skyrocketed approval rating. But other circumstances changed his chances of actually winning his second-term. The future of the economy was bleak and Clinton ran a stronger campaign with his more favourable economic policies.

History is also not clear with popularity polls. George Bush won his second-term despite polls telling us he will lose. However, similarly, Carter authorised operation eagle claw which fail and it is believed to have led to Carter's eventual defeat.

But I think we can all agree that his chances of winning his second-term has increased than it previously did.

I don't think it makes a difference. I think very few people will vote for him because he was president when Osama Bin Laden was killed. I think people will vote for him because


1. They want universal health care and all that jazz
2. He's not Republican nor George W Bush
3. They like his catchphrases.

Politics is all based on showmanship and story telling, the one who wins is the one who comes out to be the lesser evil. I followed the 08 election and I found both candidates to to be jokes, neither could keep their story straight and everything came down he, He said this and she said that. yet, the worst part about Mc Cain was his attempt to bank on the woman being in the executive office fad.

Since I am a loon, I'd think that if Bush can get re-elected with some of the lowest popularity ratings, then Obama's chances should be fine as long as the voting demographic flocks to him for security.

Obama;s reelection depends on exclusive that. He has downplayed military roles in his administration, so don't expect to see this matter expect in the short term.
