Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
So was Gin really the top dog while he was captain? Let's see.
1. Toshiro 2. Sajin 3. Mayuri 4. Kenpachi 5. Ukitake 6. Shunshi 7. Soifon 8. Tosen 9. Aizen (Shikai Aizen) 10. Yamamoto (Excluded Unohona because of no feats) Note: Gin is healed after every match. How far does he get? |
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Not past 3.
I'm sure he'd have some poison or something that would take Gin. 2. Would be the easiest, his bankai is just too slow for him. Toshiro is just too inexperienced. |

Toshiro loses. Sajin loses. He is too slow. Mayuri loses. He is too slow. Kenpachi loses. He is actually a bad matchup due to long range bankai and close combat Kenpachi. Ukitake in terms of feats loses eventually. His shikai doesn't work agaisnt gin's bankai. Shunsui could win if he can get close enough. I do not know. Soifon. It depends who hits first. But Gin has the 1 hit ko advantage. Unless of course Gin dies before going bankai. Tosen dies if hit by bankai. Don't want to say about anything aizen. Gins loses to the captain commander in my belief. But this is just my lazy analysis. |
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Kami is too fast for Mayuri to track. Sorry but Gin's owns Mayuri

Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Gin kills some with Shikai, all with Bankai Buto Renjin, even Aizen depending on the circumstances, and kills Yamamoto with Buto Renjin and poisen
|
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Gin shouldn't have much trouble with #1-4 due to better speed.
Ukitake is just a bad matchup for Gin since his ability won't work effectively on him and he lacks necessary feats. I forget Kyoraku's feats, he might be able to win. I'm unsure on this one, I'd say both Gin and Kyoraku have their chances at winning against each other. Soifon and Tosen probably won't beat Gin, while they are both good fighters, Soifon relies too heavily on speed, which matters little since she can't blitz Gin, and Tosen is either too weak to damage Gin or too slow to actually hit him depending on his form. 1 on 1, Gin wouldn't be able to get such an easy sneak attack on Aizen, I'd argue that Kyoka Suigetsu could give Aizen the win, but he wouldn't necessarily stomp. It all depends on the first move. As for Yamamoto, I don't think Gin can beat him. Yamamoto has a lot of power and is very fast, Gin may be tough but I'd say Yamamoto could just fry him first. |
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
actually Gin could probably kill Yamamoto more likely than Aizen, with some serioz Kamishini no yari buto renjin spam, put some poisen in his heart, the end
as you said with Aizen, it depends |
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
If Gin can actually land the hit on Yama then he wins. The problem is it won't be easy and Yamamoto has his own variety of wide range fire blasts that could also kill Gin.

Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
But for how long can Shinigami Aizen last with a Gin in bankai? Like his fight with Isshin he did get tired out until the Hogyuku came into place.. Buto: Rejin could overwhelm him a great deal
|
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
That is easily remedied by immediately starting with Kyoka Suigetsu. Without knowing what it does or how to counter it, Gin would no doubt be highly vulnerable.

Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Whether or not he knows it in the series is irrelevant, by default, characters are not allowed prep knowledge of their opponent's abilities unless otherwise specified.
This is to make sure characters don't have unfair advantages because they have knowledge that other characters may not. If a weak character knows some groundbreaking secret, while a character who can actually utilize that secret never knows, then that really destroys the balance of things, so knowledge beforehand is restricted by default. |
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Well I guess it comes down to how smart Gin is to know what's real and what isn't when going against Aizen. So it looks like he get's all the way up to Aizen without trouble. He could get past Yama if he can land a blow but that is hard
|
Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
Well he should be able to beat anybody from 1-8 with low to moderate difficulty, with the exception of Kyoraku. I don't remember his abilities too clearly but Kyoraku had some sort of broken color schemed thing that allowed him to fight off even Starrk, who showed himself as a pretty powerful character.
As for Aizen and Yama, it's just like you said. |

GIn's Bankai > soifon's shikai.

Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
lolwut? Auto lose to Kenpachi? That shouldn't even be a debate I hope you were joking..
I want to know how Soifon kills him cause speed blitzing Gin isn't an option at all. Seeing he could react to a Bankai Ichigo Getsuga Tensho. 2 shot kill? All gin needs is a stab and it's over. Tell me how Shunsui rapes Gin cause him stomping Gin is just not happening. And lastly Killing Aizen in Shikai would be much harder for Gin to kill than him killing the old man. Again all Gin needs is a stab on Yama before Yama get's him first and it's over. |

Kenpachi autoloses to Gin. He is the Shikamaru of Bleach. His overblown Testosterone Poisoning might go over well with everyone else, but not with me. Quote:

Re: Gin vs. The Captains Gauntlet
I have a sort of off topic question, has Aizen ever used or even hinted at his bankai?
I read through the entire bleach from the beginning about a month ago and don't remember seeing it, but I miss some things sometimes :s |
