Kurenai and Her Father's Eyes
 

In the start im confused with their eyes. xD
At first i thought Kurenai's eyes was a sharingan
and i thought Kurenai's father's eye is a rinnegan.

Damn them!

Who was confused out there like me?

His? I thought Kurenai's body was feminine enough to think of her as a woman?

I made the same mistake (confusing the eyes with the Sharingan) until I saw that their eyes are only red rings around a pupil. No pinwheels or purple color.

Kurenai is a woman, so the title should be "kurenai and her father".

About the eyes, its like some sort of doujutsu similar to sharingan and byakugan. The eye shows some sort of pattern in case of both kurenai and her father. This pattern is most probably related to her clan.

Yuhi's not a clan. She has no doujustu. She only uses Genjutsu.

It's probably just a hereditary thing between Kurenai and her father. Children can have the same eyes as the parent without it being a clan (even though there is no Yuhi clan) thing, like a doujutsu or kekkei genkai.

You can thank Kishimoto for some reason never bothering to apply tone on Kurenai and her father's eyes to make them seem distinctive enough compared to sharingan eyes or rinnegan eyes.

Kurenai doesn't have a KG, as far as I know.

I was always really curious as to why Kurenai has those...red eyes. Surely they look a lot like the Sharingan, but they don't have the tomoes.

Every clan has some trait. Those unordinary red eyes she has, must be the trait that the Yuhi clan have. It only makes sense as her father has them as well.

I was confused at first and thought that everyone in the Narutoverse was stupid for thinking that Itachi, Sasuke, and later Madara were the only Uchihas left; I thought that Kurenai had the Sharingan. I was later disappointed to find out that I was wrong. Dx

Yuhi is a clan. It's the Yuhi Clan. She has Doujutsu because her genjutsu comes from her eyes. Doujutsu is eye technique. Genjutsu is a illusions.
Genjutsu aren't always eye technqiues though as seen with Tayuya

I don't think there is anything special about Kurenai's eyes just characteristic red.
Her genjutsu may very well be dojutsu, though.
