I recently found in internet a vote who had Kagami Uchiha as a candidate to be Tobi.I know the top two candidates for this is Obito Uchiha and Madara Uchiha but i believe that this is a possibility.
Kagami Uchiha is one of Tobirama's Squad member along with Hiruzen Sarutobi,Danzo Shimura,the two elders and Torifu Akimichi.As an Uchiha and a Tobirama Squad member he was proud,strong and ambitious enough to be hokage.During the 1st Shinobi War Tobirama chose Hiruzen to be the 3rd Hokage.Kagami with Danzo after the mission opposed Hiruzen and attempted to take the Hokage seat both failed with Danzou going underground and making the Root and Kagami leaving Konoha.After a while Kagami realised that he had reached his potential as a sharingan user and went to the Uchiha secret place and he read the plate but he couldn't fulfill the requirements due to him not having any siblings or any friends.After that he roamed to the world until he learned about the Kyuubi incident.He suspected that an uchiha was behind the attack and so he searched and finally found him,it was Madara.Both men shared the same hatred due to them losing the Hokage seat from Hashirama and Tobirama's choice respectively.Madara told his plans to Kagami and he fully agreed.However after a few years Madara was close to dying,before that he gave his eyes to Kagami with the term that he will continue with his plan.

Not beyond fact, but needs some proof to back it up.

Honestly, it drove me nuts trying to figure him out, Kishi will only keep us waiting, and making us hover over the refresh button in hopes that the new chapter will be out on our favorite sites :P

Interesting idea, but I don't think such an unknown character would be someone like Tobi. I mean, I didn't know what that Kagami guy's name was until now. I still believe Tobi=Madara.

I think either Tobi is Madara or Kishi is planning a big twist and is making him Obito. Sorry but i can't see Kishi bringing back a character who seems to have been created to fill the void in Danzo's team.

i don't think that kishi drawings are pointless everyone does something that affects the story.Also i don't think that Tobi is going to be fully exposed very soon.Also the 2nd's space-time ninjutsu was mentioned and maybe kishi will give us a flashback to that era,showing us what was happening with the 3rd and Danzo and maybe Kagami too,and also how the 2nd started prohibiting the uchiha.my point is that we don't know many uchihas so the choices are limited.It's either Madara,Izuna can't be cause he is dead,Shisui also can't be cause he is dead,Obito is dead too but you don't know what kishi can do so he is a possibility.The only uchiha who is mentioned and we don't know anything about his death is Kagami.

That is true, i just don't remember Kishi giving a whole lot of details about him. Maybe i should reread the chapter. To answer anbu black ops question, the reason some believe he is Obito is because it can make sense if you piece some of the details together. Good theory though omega, i encourage you to reread the chapters where Danzo fought Sasuke, there could be hints in there.

Actually, it technically doesn't even have to be an Uchiha... It just has to be someone with a Sharingan.

This is true but although it doesn't seem like that,Tobi does use the sharingan a lot,in the sasuke vs itachi he teleported 10 times or so,for someone like Madara or Kagami this is nothing but for a non-uchiha who has the sharingan for about what ten years it would be difficult.Kakashi has his sharingan for almost 20 years,technically he grew up with it and he even now has problems with it.Danzou had Orochimaru working on him to be able to handle all those sharingans.I am just saying for a non-uchiha to be able to use the sharingan on such a level is too difficult.Also if he is a non-uchiha he obviously has a lot of chakra,who do you think he is,just make a prediction.I seriously liked that theory and will make a search

Why was second hokage mentioned by Minato? Tobirama having space/time jutsu has to be significant from this whole Tobi thingy. When I read 502 I immediately thought that Tobirama is Tobi but Tobirama is dead for sure otherwise Oro wouldnt have summoned him with impure world resurrection tech. But kishi has mentioned Tobirama twice in connection two of the most powerful techniques namely impure world resurrection and space/time jutsus. This is highly suspicious consedering one of his students was an Uchiha and is curretly an unknowen entity.

That would actually explain the name. You know Pain can resurrect the dead, it is unlikely but at this point anything is possible. Or maybe Zetsu will have some similar ability.

You haven't seen Tobi's face.Wearing a same mask doesn't mean he is the same person

Think about it.

1. When we first met Tobi he was called Tobi by Zetsu. Zetsu knows all, how could he/it/they get that wrong.

2. Tobi is a good boy!

3. Tobi wears a super awesome mask. Madara wears a lame emo one.

4. Tobi!

5. Tobo likes the Konoha folk. See how he plays with them? Awwww.

6. Sai Shaft! (This is the most important reason.)

7. If Tobi isn't Tobi, who is he? `:Pbit`:P Yeah right, next you will be telling me he is Madara.:lol:

8. Tobi can make things pass through him. Too awesome, no?

9. Tobi can warp, soooo much faster than that slow-polk Madara

10. Because Jeeves told me so.
