Hey everyone, as a workaround to the problem we're having on the site (the various errors you get when trying to do anything) try using either of these urls for the time being to view the forums: http://naruto.vfatality.viz.com/forum/ or http://naruto.vpersuadertron.viz.com

Haha, another point for me.

Can I get some rep mods? I normally wouldn't ask, but I provided a decent workaround for a forum wide problem, while only logging in 2 times a day to check for catastrophies.

I have been hollering about improper load balancing since the OLD forums.

If viz's IT people need an explanation for exactly why all this happened I do have one prepared. At least with everyone using manual pages there aren't several hundred logins every 20 seconds. The SQL server is getting a much needed break... the poor thing.

Forum searches, and the forums general speed will increase as well, but the URL manipulation is a band aid, not a solution.

I was not sure if the specific names (and URL's) of the three servers was public info or not. It was not my place to disclose info like that publicly.

I did tell the mods (in another thread) that using the specific links fixed the issue. which is why you now have an announcement.

I did what I could. Without getting myself in legal trouble.

Atleast you managed to actually do it, however. There's a lot of users that still haven't reset their password from the initial forum transition to vBulletin. It's usually because they think I had them change passwords because I didn't like their original choice of password; they think I was sort of 'insulting' their existing password, and was forcing them to come up with a 'better' one.
