This book i am writing.

Ok, first this is an epic, fantasy book. I know these kinds of books are overrated, but the thing is in high school after taking the TAKS test, and there was still time in the day I started scribbling. Got prologue and half of first chapter in 2 years and 10 months. No formal writing classes, or extensive writing history. Should i give up writing it based on these facts, or keep trying.

Re: This book i am writing.

Spoiler:

Plot: (This is the prologue part) 13 years ago Remva, a country on the continent of Meleca, was in its final year of a war with its neighboring country, Veneral. Veneral advanced so deeply into Remva's land that is was at the doorstep of Remva's capital, Tunar. The king of Remva, Macal, was going to lead his army, or what was left of it, in a desperate attempt to push back the armies of Veneral. But for some reason when he got word that Veneral's most powerful general, nicknamed 'The Crimson General', was leady the army; he sent his faithful captain, Camoga, to go get his wife and unborn child out of Remva completely, and go to a territory of Veneral, Homela.

Re: This book i am writing.

Spoiler:

During the 13-year gap between the prologue and chapter one the armies of Remva were defeated. Camoga has been keeping a close watch on Veneral. Anick (and no I was not thinking of star wars when this name came up) the king’s son, and heir has grown up in Homela without knowledge of his families past.

Camoga comes back, like he does every once and a while, to give money to Isma, Anick's mother. This time though he decides to tell Anick the truth.

(After this the rest I have not come up with. Even though I have some plot points)

Re: This book i am writing.

Spoiler:

There is magic in this book. The magic uses a rune type system. These runes are called Conjuring Circlets. Anything that uses magic has to have these runes etched into them.

Homela had the first civilization on Meleca, though they are gone now.

Cosesu Narku (Notice the Name) is a powerful wizard who created many magical inventions. One of them was the Magical Public Announcement System (MPAS), which allows one to speak to a large number of people over a 5-mile radius through their thoughts. Cosesu put in fail-safes though so no one could control other peoples thoughts. He also made a prediction to Macal that he was going to successfully push back Veneral armies, and win a significant battle of the war that would change the tide in his favor. Though his visions, which he warned Macal, were not 100% accurate, because "no one knows the future, not even one as powerful as I." "For the future is changed according to the choices we make." (If a person is speaking and you need two sentences do I need to put quotation marks around both sentences separately, or can I put them around both together)

Macal, Anick's father is not dead. He is the King of Veneral's personal slave.

Oh, and the king of Veneral's name is Klohern.

If you see that I have made mistakes in the sentence structure please tell me so I can better my writing capabilities, please

It has been a while since i posted this.

What do you think of this story and/or the concept. I kind of need a thoughtful opinion, and more than one preferably, on this. And just to let who ever know, your opinion will make or brake my decision to go on with this book.

I'd read it if you wrote this out. I can't actually critique something which hasn't been written out,but so far the concepts are nice. Although the FMA similarities would probably turn me off because you blatantly put it out there.

this is amazing, I would be interested in reading this. And for the quotation marks, you can put them around more than one sentence.
