Shonen-Jump

So, a few days ago was that Free Comic Book day and I picked up the Shonen Jump special they had. I looked through it and it looked pretty interesting

Im just wondering what exactly does the full version of it have, and is it worth it to subscribe to it for a year?

Re: Shonen-Jump

I subscribe to Shonen Jump and i think it's pretty good, even though they should serialize more chapters because the number of pages isn't enough to fill my manga-loving pallet.

If you subscribe to Shonen Jump, you'll be saving at around 50% of the normal cost.

In Shonen Jump, there are about 7 series of manga inside, some month's issues might have previews of newer manga in the future. It also includes video & card game coverage (Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Naruto, DBZ, etc.). It has a Nihongo (japanese) Lesson, Monthly manga releases, anime news, and other good stuff.

So, basically, you should give Shonen Jump a try!

Oh man Shonen Jump rules! It is the best magazine on earth. Each issue has chapters from some of the most popular Manga series in the world like One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, etc. It has anime news and card game news, contests and so much more. Ive been reading it ever since it came out in the U.S.

Re: Shonen-Jump

^Yep its pertty much the cheapest magazine you can get and it has like 300 pages so its a good deal. Did you read the Naruto card game manga chapter? I lol'd. I usually buy it every month because i cant afford the one time $29.95 payment for a subsription. Next time i get some extra money i might get a subscription besides i want to check out all the extra stuff that only subscribers can see on the SJ website. Oh one more thing, dont throw out the magazine when your done reading it. I keep them because i like to go back and read them. My friend gave me a bunch of old SJ mags from like 2004 and 2005, i still havent read them all.

They include Yugioh GX?! I didnt even know that was a manga series, I have to know buy the 2 or 3 of the released ones of Yugioh GX now.

Has One Piece been in Shonen Jump for years now, as well as Naruto?

Yes, both have been in the magazine since the beginning of Shonen Jump! But, i think Naruto started 1-2 issues later than One Piece did.

Well looking at June's issue one of the manga series just started (like its on chapter 3), yugioh gx is on chapter 6, I think. Naruto and One Piece are pretty far up there. Next month a NEW series is starting (the one from the free comic book day issue).

I read the preview that you can find on the SJ website, its pertty good and I cant believe Comic legend Stan Lee worked on it.
