How do i unlock more characters on the original game

I unlocked Temari and Gai but i cant unlock the rest, does anybody out there know how?

You half to rebeat story mode on hard difficulty and then u get a character from then you go to arcade mode and do single player just repeat this step until you half to get sasuke cursed lv2 then beat single player mode with sasuke again.
