I know a lot of things are going on with the new health care reform bill, and I wanted to see what you guys on the site think of it. Do you think it should be passed?

That is a lot of reading. i will read it when i have time, but i am pro for this proposal so far, from what i hear in cnn it is a good thing, then again fox says is a bad thing. What i understand is that it will help out the needy, i am all pro that. But i do not know exactly what it will do, so ill get to reading asap. thanks for the link!!

btw Fox is a bias news channel. so is cnn. tho fox takes it to another level.

Okay, so what I get from the bill is basically that it is Public Heath Care? Then yes, I agree with it. Seriously, guys, medical costs are the number one cause of bankruptcy in the United States. It is not a basic human right in the U.S., but a business. That is just disgusting and evil.
Or just come to Canada! We have free health care, AND gay marriage. :D

anyways, sorry if I'm wrong about what the bill is about, but I just barely skimmed through the first few pages and I don't regularly follow American politics.

but seriously that is what i got from the bill too, if it is that then yeah i am all for it. but someone is gonna have to pay the bill either way, and must probably is gonna be the tax payers, i do not mind paying taxes that actually are gonna go to something useful.

This bill is horrible. If it passes, there goes health care down the drain.

Oh, and itachiuchiha85, I think Fox News is the most fair news network out there. No network is more bias than MSNBC.

WOWOWOWOWOW there goes health care for the people that have money to do so, there are a lot of people that do not have health care this will give them the chance to get it. (if what i understand is right then this is a good thing)

and fox is fair? i guess you are an oreilly supporter then. sigh. Fox is a biased and racist towards other nations network.

edit: and they hate anything that will actually help the majority of the country, they believe in the "selected few" idea.

MSNBC gives nothing but the facts. Fox News is only helping the recent "Health Scare", even though the bill was created to help people afford Health Care and Health Insurance.

The very reason that I put a link to the actual bill is that you can't just believe what everyone tells you, even when it comes to the news. So I posted the link so people on this site could make an honest, informed decision.

Yes, you are right... well, partly. Health care does not diminish in quality simply because everyone's given it. The United States is pretty much the most wealthy and powerful country on the planet, and yet I'm expected to believe they can't even provide adquate medical help for their citizens, for fear that the quality will diminish?! This is total BS. And, I can turn back to my country of Canada. Sure, we're far from perfect, but at least I know if I contract some horrible illness or whatever, my family isn't going to suffer to pay the bills and neither will I. I'll get the proper help I need.

The plain truth is that recieving medical help is not a privelage for the people who are, by sheer chance, lucky enough to be born into a wealthy family. By the rool of the die the exact same person could've been born into poverty and suddenly refused care simply because they had no money. Are they less worthy of life simply because of this? Well, according to America, apparently so.

I really, REALLY hope this bill is passed.:)

Well, they state good, reliable facts, and they don't seem to have been wrong before. I don't see how me believing the things they say is different from believing what anyone else says, because it is oh so very easy to simply lie to people in this country and have them believe it.
