a bit confused on the mangekyo's power
 

ok this is what i know... when you use it you start becoming blind (not sure exactly what the mangekyo sharingan is like powers etc.) but wouldnt that mean that you would become completely blind? so then once you become blind you have to take out the eyes of someone (with or without mangekyo not sure) can you guys help me out?

The mangekyo sharingan has three special powers, Amatastsu, Tsukoyomi and Susoono. Amatastsu is a fire with black flames which will burn anything and not go out for seven days. Tsukoyomi is the greatest Genjutsu that there is, and is almost impossible to break. Susoono is the ultimate defence, and will stop all attacks that is directed towards the user.

You do not need to be completely blind to change your eyes. On a related note, the eyes must belong to your siblings and your sibling must also have the Mangekyo sharingan.

This will give you the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan (EMS) which is believed to be more powerful and will not make you blind with overuse.

1. ya its true that after you obtaine the mangeykyo u start becoming blind and the more you use its power the more it effects your eyesight and soon renders you completly blind
2.to stop the blindness and get a mangeykyo thaat lasts for ever(eternal mangeykyo sharingan).you havee to take the eyes of a blood relative(and these have to have mangeykyo too.)when u combine urs and ur bloodline's mangeykyo it gives you the eteernal mangeykyo sharingan that never goes bling
3.well the mangeykyo sharingan have any different kinds of power (like itachi's susanoo amaterasu,tsukayomi and kakashi's opening a blackhole and trasportin you into a different dimension thing.............the mangeykyo has a lot of power and we are not really sure about the complete extent of it)but all of them are really really power(like the tsukayomi which is a really really power genjutsu in which the user can trasport the victim into a the world of their nightmares and torture them for 72 hours and in the really world it will only seem like secs..............and the amaterasu which is the most powerful ninjutsu it is a fire froom hell that can consume fire it self and will never burn out..........and the susanoo which is the ultimate attack and defens weapon with the yata sheild that can block all attacks and the totsuka sword which can seal anything it cuts away for eternity)the mangeykyo can control sumthing as powerful as the nine tails lik a puupet ...............that itself should explain how cool it is)

These are specific to Itachi. Every Mangekyo Sharingan is unique with it's own abilities. Kakashi cannot use these. Only reason Sasuke can use Amataratsu is because Itachi somehow transfered the abiltiy to him.

There is a problem with this theory. Madara took the eyes of his brother, but still doesnt have the EMS. There really is no eternal rules on how the blindness works. It seems inevitable. Seems techniques play the biggest part.

huh .....what are you talking about, ......obiviously madara has EMS other wise he wouldnt have been able to control the fox............and also madara tell it himself that he and his brother wer the first one to obtain the EMS and (in madara's version of the story) he says that he brother gave him his eyes so that he obtained the eternal mangeykyo sharingan if i rember right the show a pic of it too

True, except for the fact that Madaras brother only had Mangekyou Sharingan and not Mangekyou Sharingan. However anytime we see "Madara", who will now be referred to as Tobi, he does not have that EMS or even MS. All Tobi has is the third stage Sharingan, which leads people to believe two things. One he isn't actually Madara, or two that he somehow lost his Mangekyou Sharingan.

yea thats one more lose ennd in the series...............................to obtain a mangeykyo u have to kill sumone close to you the pain and the trauma of the incident usually causes you to awaken your mangeykyo......................but kakashi said it himself that every1 close to him was already dead...................so its really all a mystery how kakashi suddenly got his mangeykyo

yea sorry my mistake.......i dont think that madara has ever relly used the EMS .........or maby they have not yet shown his EMS..........but he's i am preety sure its madara...........................also it culd be that for sumreason he cant activiate his mangeykyo or somthing

yea and i figure the body flicker kinnda thing is not a power of the mangeykyo cause if it was he'd have beaten hashirama eaiisily it wuld be the ultimate counter for all of hashirama's moves(remb we saw him doge yamato's wood styly and made the attck go right through him).................i think sumthing must have happened to his mangeykyo

Yes, overuse of the MS can cause blindness, but if you take someone else's MS(your siblings), then there is a chance that you could acquire the EMS,But I don't think Kakashi's eye will be blinded by overuse, because he is not a uchiha, therefore he can't turn it off, and also its already someone else's sharingan.

thats why he keeps it covered cause as he is not a uchiha it takes a lot of chara outta him to use the sharingan

Kakashi can shut off his MS, he can't shut off the normal third stage sharingan though. I would assume that he could go blind, but that will hopefully be explained one day.

Yes, Tobi said that now that Pain was dead he could use the tailed beasts to fix his eye.

Perhaps he found a loophole in the way to get the MS. They are told that to get it, they had to kill the person closest to them. For Kakashi that was Obito.

Now think about it this way. What if they simply have to be the cause of the persons death? Kakashi is the reason that Obito died because he was saving him and died because of it. Perhaps by this happening he recieved the MS, but it took many years to finally activate.

obito died a long time ago to obtain a MS u have to kill the person closest to u if u can do that then the trauma of the incident will likely kick in your mangeykyo..................i thinhk there must be sumone or sumthing else that happened aand its not being revealed yet........................not that i completly disagree with the theory that it culd be because of obito's death(maby it took longer to activate because he wasnt an uchiha).........................but still i think the theory is too far fetched i mean i dont think that kishi wuld just let it go saying that he felt the trauma of obito's death years later........................no i think there is something more that would propably be reavealed soon.............
