Maik beat me to it. No, in fact it means you're sane enough to get help (unless you're forced to see the psych). It just means you want to better yourself in some way and yore looking to someone else to help you do that.

Honestly asking a psychologist for life help is no different than asking a teacher for academic help.

Crazy is more along the lines of behavior and how the person functions. Not everyone that sees a psychologist is crazy. Were they to be diagnosed with a behavioral condition that requires medication and consistent therapy sessions, and can't seemingly function normally without it, then I would say that would be more along the lines of what is being thought of as far as the OP goes.

no, it doesn't you can be a perfectly normal mentally healthy person but be going through a bad period of your life and need specialized help. You can get this from a head shrink. or a priest or whatever..this is normal

there are people with mental problems who regularly see head shrinks are stable because of a combination of regular therapy and medication but there are plenty of normal folks with no issues beyond stress, or are hurting due to a death in the family or something and need it..

Yes you are crazy. Paying an individual money to talk about your problems. That is what drugs and alchol are for.

Depends really on your situation, if you need to confine in someone you really should confine in your family or friends rather than playing loads of money to a shrink, which if you do your crazy. If you however feel you have no one to open up to then it's not crazy to see a shrink.

I wouldn't say that. Just because anyone goes to see a psychologist or any doctor for that matter, does not necessarily mark them insane. I see one every other Wednesday, for more personal reasons. Usually it's easier to talk to him about personal issues than it is talking to my family about it.
