I hate blamers...
I swear to God, I hate, and I mean HATE when someone says. "Life is harder then it looks it took me 12 years to get food stamps or section 8 while working 50 hours being a single mother..." Really I am sorry but wake up you put your self in that posistion. I hate it when someone blames something other then them selvs for there posistion.
I was in a Class today about pathway to sustainability and this women talks like, "So I was reading this book to my son and he, OH he has an IQ of 120 and he is ten..." and goes on about how he agrees this thing needs change. Why would you brag about your kids IQ, I am not the smartest man in the world but that is rude to me. I tested to my shame in middle school a IQ 100 and that makes me feel stuiped! But you can't say that our country need to tax the rich when idoits get SS for a disability when they are fine. My friend moves out of his dads uses it for a dumb reason and he as his rent reducted, college grant, and disability SS when he is fine if not smarter then me! You can't solve the countries problems by taxing only the rich so much that they can't be rich to help the poor when you are were you arer based on what you do and what you choose. You can't unmake the rich rich, because that might be someones way to making there dream real and breaks the right of Prosute of happiness. If you blame you being having to work ore and went to college late because of your kid then you should have waited like some. Life aint rainbow and ponys it is amean and nasty place, and you you know what you are worth then go out and get it. Don't be lazy, you have to be willing to take the hits! You are in full control of what you do and that will determine what your path usally is. Not all of cause but thsi is getting redicules. Sorry for my bad grammer I am just tired and a little... sorry for the bad word but, pised. I don't know this just set me off a bit. Need to get that out. |
Re: I hate blamers...
It's okay, i feel like that once in a while :)

Re: I hate blamers...
Well, I don't think they're necessarily saying only tax the rich, but a lot of people feel like they don't get taxed as much as we do. Whether or not it's true, I don't know, but I do feel like rich people get away with a lot more than poorer people do.

Re: I hate blamers...
Hard to get yourself in a situation where you have to leave school early to support your family...and I'm not talking about kids, I'm talking about people who have to work alongside their parents to live.

Re: I hate blamers...
Agreed. It was their decision to not go above and beyond, and become more succesful than everyone else. Now we are being held down, because people didn't take their lives seriously, and we have to pay the price.

Re: I hate blamers...
^Because everyone has enough cash to be sent to a College or University and go "above and beyond"!

But I do mean that people should go above and beyond, and at least TRY to make themselves successful. |
Re: I hate blamers...
Yes there is no reason that is an excusse. YOu have choises, you have to go and do. It may not be easy, but you can. Go for a grante, Or when you were in high school you should have thought about itand done a sport for a schollorship. Or work untill you can pay for it, then work part time.
YOu can NOT say you are not were you are because of him or her or anybody. I mean you can not climb the ladder of succese with your hands in your pocket. While you are parting or horsing around someone out there at the same time is working harder. Someone is getting smarter. Just remeber that. Muhamad ali once said when asked how many sit-ups he does. he said "I do not ocunt my sit-ups, I only start counting when it hurts that is when it matters.". watch this. I know it is a movie, but the princable is the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuIBAr4E4AU |
Re: I hate blamers...
There are plenty of people out there who work the system. Believe me, I know.
However, there are plenty of people out there that aren't just out to get free money from the government and actually do need a little extra help to get by. A person's actions and decisions definitely steer them in the direction that their life takes, but there are also outside influences and circumstances that affect life sometimes in ways that can't be helped. I would also like to point out that perhaps that woman in your class was just proud of her son. Yeah maybe she was being a bit braggy but that's how parents can be if they're proud of their children's accomplishments. You can't claim that every person getting extra help is passing the buck and is undeserving of it. You can't presume to know how they live. As you said, the world is a mean and nasty place, and unfortunately not all of us can get help from mommy or daddy. Myself included. As someone who's had to work hard for everything I have without any outside help from anybody, government agency or otherwise, personally I don't begrudge anyone that actually needs any outside help from getting it, because I know what it is to struggle. In this day and age, it's not uncommon to see someone working more than one job trying to feed their family and get by. Who says they're not trying to better themselves? You? This country has a lot of spending problems and has to figure out a way to fix that. Sure, they could start out by not needlessly throwing money at people, but it's going to take a lot more than that and some higher taxes to get the country's monetary situation back on track. Needless spending in general, in all areas, has to be cut out....among other things. Of course, this is my opinion and you're more than entitled to yours. I apologize if I seemed a little touchy, but my mother happens to be one of those people on disability and she for one actually needs it. |
Re: I hate blamers...
Yes I know, but the precentige of money from the state. I do not believe everyone tried ahrd enough. I wasn't ever givin thiings from momy or daddy, infact my dad doesn't want anything to do with me.
Yes there are hose who actully need it. But the system is also currpoted by people who moch it to. Like a money dracula. The clas wanted to make the rich not rich and the poor not poor. That would then take away the prosute of happynes. I mean why should donald trump give all his money he worked hard for to some women who used the child support and unemployment and deisabilies check get his money? I know people like that is and it just wrong. |
Re: I hate blamers...
Maybe instead of putting all the blame yourself on the people who work the system, you should take a look at the system itself. Food for thought.
edit: I'm sure for people like Donald Trump (who, if I'm not mistaken, was born into some of his money anyway) his pursuit of happiness wouldn't be infringed upon if he were to donate some of that to a better cause. I'm sure he and his gold-plated sinks are pretty damn happy. |

Re: I hate blamers...
We do get to make choices, but honestly the economy is shit. If you want to survive you have to have pretty much everyone in a house working. Hell, even then, there is a lot of struggle. It's hard to even go to college now because you need a job to drive and get on the internet so you can truly do well in your classes. So, even there you have to go to work to do that.
Really, the economy is shit. It's gotten to the point where it encourages you to do something for the money instead of because you like it. Which really shouldn't be the way things work. The government gives money to the people who don't try and puts their foot down on the people who do that legitimately need a little help. |

Re: I hate blamers...
I am sorry my friend but you sound a bit harsh and on the ignorant side. I have worked since I was 16 years old and lost a job when the economy went bad. A job that I had steadily worked for over 6 years. I found myself looking and trying to find work, any work, but there was NOTHING. So I went back to school to become a veterinary technician. It is not a high paying job and I get taxed heavily. You are putting a generalized blame on something I am not sure you understand completely. I have been on welfare before and it was embarrassing for me. There is not always a clear cut choice or option. Single parents whether they are mothers or fathers do not have it easy. So give them a break for venting a bit. I personally see nothing wrong with taxing rich people as much as they tax us poor street rats that make them rich. Now I think that maybe this could turn into a debate thread and would be better used there. If you would like to move it there it would save the mods of this section from having to do so. Anyways to each their own, just think a little bit about what you just said. I personally can't stand blamers when they are blaming something that has no merit on themselves.

He also sued a woman who claimed his Miss Universe pageant was rigged, again for 5 million dollars. So no, I wouldn't mind taking a few million out of his pocket to help the economy. |
Re: I hate blamers...
Oh he does donate. But he also worked for that job. Used skils and tried. Until he wanted to run. Like people blam Obama. It isn't all his fault it is also us, and we look at him like we did nothing wrong. Like a spoild child. The man is only human. even though humans pretty much are viruses.
Also Bill Gates, But people sue all the time. Look at the idiot of a women that became rich by suing mc donalds for what her coffe is hot and she spills it? That is just..... words can not discribe |

Re: I hate blamers...
