Playstation Plus.

Who actually uses it?

I've been subscribed to plus ever since it came out and I really think its worth it.

What does it even do? It's basically just Xbox Live in Playstation style.

Re: Playstation Plus.

^ You get 2-3 free games every month like Resident Evil 5, Bioshock 2, King of Fighters XIII, Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2 etc...

*Cloud Saves so you can upload saves to a server and download them to another PS3.
*Automatic updates and downloads and free premium avatars and dynamic themes.
*Early access to demos and free trials, and exclusive access to Betas sometimes.
*Special discounts on tons of content from the PSN Store.

Not to mention its optional and people aren't forced to pay for a subscription to play online.

Of course that doesin't mean 360 is bad since you pay for a superior online experience (most of the time)

But IMO free games and lots of other free stuff is definitely worth it.

It's more like "It's what Xbox Live is trying to be."

Case in point, Xbox Music and the (Gold Exclusive) Free-To-Play models that they've recently been experimenting with. Not to hate on Microsoft, but when it comes to gamer appreciation, Sony wins this by a landslide. Then again, I suppose that Valve and got 'em both beat with sales.

Yeah. PSN gets hacked, they give you a month of Playstation Plus, two free AAA console games, and another free title on PSN. Xbox Live gets hacked, Microsoft gives you a game that they probably took less than five days to scrap together, and then goes back to business with charging you for Live.

I prefer Xbox myself. Although I do really like Sony products.

Microsoft can be annoying. Then again, it could be because I work for it. >.>

On the upside, their multi player base is HUUUGE.

Too bad generous sony put a time limit on that offer and I never had the chance to redeem it.
