I think the pairings need to be somewhat in common and compliment each other so I picked....

Naruto and Saskue (rivals, best friends)

Shikamaru and Choji (obvious... FRIENDS)

Onoki and Garra (both are kages and old/young and defensive/offensive)

Mei and Tsunade (beautiful long-ranged/short-ranged)

Kabuto and Oro (SNAKES)

Jiryria and Oro (Rivals)
