A FB Page

I ended up finding a page I was not too happy with. It's probably just some troll trying to piss people off, but it is still disrespectful to our troops and their families. The page is called "F the Troops" The F word actually being said. So I'm asking this forum and whoever has a Facebook to please report this trash that is on the internet.
I'm not sure what to pic to report it, but I said it was hate speech and that it targeted a race or ethnicity. There weren't many options to choose from, and there aren't any options for just regular groups, but yeah. If they don't do anything about it (I'll get an email of what they saw on the page), I'm gonna just email FB. So there are those two options, but just please help get this off of there. It is just wrong and messed up.

What the hell? I mean come on, they had to go to those extremes?, I see there are 2 groups, I'll see if I can report both

EDIT: One of them claims you report them its going against freedom of speech..........come on, what the hell?

Yeah, I think those people should take a better look at the constitution, because that doesn't mean you can say whatever the hell you want.

Re: A FB Page

Indeed, especially if they go as far as going after their families

Also, seems Soulja Boy has also said ''f the troops''...more reason to dislike him!

Saw the page too, reported it too

Re: A FB Page

Actually the only unprotected speech is dangerous speech. Dangerous speech is loosely defined as speech which presents a clear and present danger without a shadow of a doubt. An example of unprotected speech would be yelling "fire" in crowded buildings. This is because the potential panic can literally get people killed.

This means neo nazis can parade downtown. This means anti-establishment "revolutionaries" can advocate civil war. Hell, it even means someone can say something offensive such as "F the troops". All because no one can prove any of this speech can actually cause another person physical harm.

Freedom of speech is a two way street. We have to let people express themselves in both favorable and unfavorable manners.

Am I the only one not to understand what 'troops' we're talking about?
In that case I'm going to guess this is something American.

Re: A FB Page

Indeed. As far as I know, it's an american thing.

Well that's alright. When you step back and look at it, they're the ones that are making themselves look like moronic prepubescent asswipes. They'll regret what they do someday. Karma has it's ways.

Re: A FB Page

I don't think us banding against them and giving them hell is very good and well.

People have opinions. Let them have them. That's the way the world looks. I bet to them, we look like the assfaces. Just let life happen. They'll get what is coming to them just like everyone else. The world doesn't revolve around your morals, nor theirs. If you're that offended, go ahead, but I don't agree.

Not what they are doing is right, it isn't, but they certainly have the right to feel that way. They aren't forcing anything on anyone.

Re: A FB Page

I agree^
They can think whatever they want, it doesn't affect anyone but them.

What I don't agree with is disrespect. There's better ways of getting your opinion out there.

Opinions don't generally respect everyone. But still, they could have been more sensitive, yes.

You can't do anything about it. If they wish to be q douche, then let them. You can't censor out everything that offends you or everything would be blank and nothing would be said. Ever....

I think I read somewhere about James Holmes fan pages with memes and stuff. It hit me right in the feels. I usually don't pay attention to things like that.

Re: A FB Page

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech, people dislike the fact that we have troops who fight for nonsense or fight for freedom, in my case we were the people who provoked Bin Laden to attack the United States and so I dislike the fact of fighting and they surely should have stopped after killing the guy who caused so many deaths but hey they keep going and keep provoking causing more war.

But that is just my opinion so don't dislike a group only cause they hate the army cause you don't know that the people who created or follow have lost family members cause of this matter. Just Saying, >:/

Re: A FB Page

Bacon got it. While it may be a bit rude to say that and you may think it worse, it's still a speech and yes, you can say pretty much whatever the hell you want. It's right up there with burning the American flag being legal as a form of expression, a physical speech.

You may not like it, but it can be done.

I'm close with a lot of people that are serving or have served. And I plan on serving. But this page doesn't hurt me at all.
The way I see it, everyone that is serving has a lot more going for them than some big bad Facebook nerd that has nothing better to do. They'll go farther in life and do more important things than the people on that page.
Let it go and let them enjoy whatever childish world they live in. =/

^ American soldiers, military.
Anyways, like most other people said, freedom or speech and what not. They can say whatever they want, all because you don't agree with them doesn't mean to report or something. That's like me reporting someone who said they didn't like pokemon on here.
