Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
So....I'm re-watching the first couple of Shippuden episodes, for the sake of nostalgia (I can't believe how far Naruto has come over the years..o.o") and Kakashi just performed a fireball jutsu....and I have to ask....am I missing something with this jutsu? How does his mask not catch on fire, or get singed, or SOMETHING when he performs the fireball jutsu, or any other fire jutsu involving the mouth? I'm assuming having fire that hot that close to cloth would do some sort of damage to it....
I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question, feel free to hit me with a cyber frying pan for being an idiot b;) |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
well the wind from his mouth is what catches fire. but it does catch fire till it goes through his hand which is were its fused with chakra. or what i think happens.

Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Hmm i thought during that part he lowers his mask and after he shoots the fireball adjusts it back

Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
I knew I wasn't the only one confused about this XD maybe if we get enough theories we can figure out the answer through debate! (no one else is excited by a debate, huh?)

Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
I think in his case, the fireball actually forms outside the mask. Doesn't make much sense, maybe Kakashi's mask is part of his skin? xD

Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
The reason Kakashi wears a mask is because he drools to much. Just like the dogs he summons. Maybe his drools makes the mask so wet that it's resistant to fire! <derp>
Honestly, I have no idea. I imagine it's the same way he eats/drinks... >_< |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
It's because he is awesome like that. Whenever he performs a fireball jutsu, his mask won't catch on fire.
Anyways, I'm thinking that since you need to blow air out of your mouth to use it, the air passes through Kakashi's mask and then that's how the fire jutsu is used/created. Usually outside of the mouth. |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Thats like saying why doesn't Saksue have a burned tongue!! (yes sorry but not stupid but silly question)
The user sends the fire in front of his mouth/face |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Tenzou~ you would. xD "He is awesome like that"
This is kinda of one of those plot hole questions. When Sasuke's dad was teaching his the fireball technique, I remember the sides of his mouth were getting burnt while he was training. Remember when his mom put those bandages near his mouth? There's probably no answer to this. Fireproof clothing? Kakashi is a firefighter in disguise. That's it. xD |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
^ I guess he was bad at using fireball jutsu so he needed bandages
It really is not that big of a deal |

Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
It's because Kakashi is just a rip-off of Sasuke. Kakashi has all the same moves as Sasuke
which i don't get because sasuke is so much smexier than kakashi |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Kakashi taught the sauce Chidori.:ugeek:
|
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
He uses the fire in front of his face . Guys it is not that big of a deal
|
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Anytime you see fireball jutsu being done, the fire ignites about 2 inches after it leaves the mouth. (Watch Sasuke do fireball jutsu. I believe it shows it quite clearly then.) Otherwise, Kakashi's mask would burn his mask off, yes, and anyone using fireball techniques would get their throats deep-fried.
I had this question WAY back. |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
^ Not all fireball attacks are the EXACT same
AGAIN it is not that big of a deal |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Doesn't the fireball start a little bit away from the mouth...?

Thank you everyone for helping me out!! b:) |
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Nah, any question about Kakashi is not petty.
|
Re: Erm....Mask+Fireball jutsu=...?
Because the fire begins to burn after it comes out the mask, before it is just chakra.
