Profession

Professions

The profession of your character. This isn't so much what you're confined to, but more of what you have the skills of. There are many jobs needed on a crew and each of them needs certain skills to perform them. These can be both Combat and Non-combat oriented. Depending on what profession you have, you will have different traits that come with it.

The jobs are:

Attack Specialists:
These characters are specialized in weapons and martial arts. These characters rely heavily on their attacks and don't just use them as a secondary attack. All types of main attackers are here. These are characters who don't have a specialty in any type of job, and are very good at attacking. Zoro and Luffy would be here.Attack Specialists are already learned in their art, so they start with a level 15 technique.

Chef:
Chefs are the primary food prepare-rs of the crew. They cook everything that the crew catches and keeps the crew nourished and energized. These are characters who are focused more on cooking than attacking, but they can be strong opponents too. Sanji and Hatchan and both cooks. They get 2 free buffs/debuffs from feeding others food.

Navigator:
Navigators are the helmsmen of the crew. They navigate the crew through the waters to get from island to island. They are normally fairly capable cartographers as well. These characters are more focused on navigating while on the ship, but can be very strong in battle as well. Nami and Laffitte are both navigators. Without a navigator on board, the crew will be subject to the narrators worst.

Shipwright:
Shipwrights are the people who fix ships. They can also install weapons and upgrades on the ships for a cost. They are normally pretty strong as their job is based on the hitting things hard. They are more concerned with fighting in the moment than fixing the ship. Franky and Paulie are shipwrights.Shipwrights get 2 upgrades for free on their ships.

Musician:
The entertainment of the ship. They are what keeps the spirits high and boredom low. While they are looked at as lesser beings on some ships as they are not a necessity like other professions, they are very respected on others. They are able to place buffs/debuffs on people by using music. They are more focused on attacking than playing music, though, most of the time playing music and fighting are the same thing. Brook and Scratchman Apoo.Musicians get a free weapon-instrument. (ei, a bow that is also a sword, a clarinet that is also a gun, ect.)

Doctor:
The primary caretaker of the ship. They heal the crew's wounds and hurt the crew's opponents with poisons. They are normally a relatively necessarily part of the crew, as the crew needs healing. They are normally not as strong of fighters as others, but they can be easily. Tony-Tony Chopper and Trafalgar Law are two doctors. Without a doctor, crews will have to let time heal them.

Obviously, there are some people that don't fit into any of these catagories. If you want another profession, PM me with this template:

Profession Name: Sharpshooter

Indeed. I was thinking about adding this, but I think that attack specialist defines this? Why are they different?

Meaning that you put a "spell" on someone bringing down their stats. So a chef feeding someone poisoned food could bring down their speed -1, ect.
