Remember when the leftist were all upset about someone tapping their phone calls
to foreign terrorists? Or people looking at the library books they read?
http://www.nationalreview.com/articl...nic-rich-lowry How times change. *waves to drone above me* So should we use drones to spy on ourselves? |

They would probably use it more for harrassing jaywalkers than stopping terrorists. |

Here's my thing I really don't care if people watch me. I have nothing to hide as long as you are only using that spyware for my protection, then it's ok. And only to the point where it's not excessive.
The new Spidey series: The Ultimate Spiderman, with Drake Bell as Spidey :) , just did an episode very close to this topic and although I'm not entirely sure if Disney is clever enough for political satire I sure as hell know Brian Bendis and the other writers are by a lot of the witty dialogue I see. Anyways Nick Fury and SHIELD were spying on Peter's house to make sure him and Aunt Mae were safe but of course they took it too far and had cameras in his bathtub and bedroom and stuff. Basically at the end of the episode Peter understood how useful the cameras can be and made sure that Nick only used one of them and kept it outside the house. That's kind of where I'm at right now. I mean I don't see what everyone is freaking out about it's not like Google Earth couldn't do the exact same thing without the drones. And after the whole megavideo fiasco (actually long before it probably due to me growing up around family in law enforcement) I'm kind of under the impression that if the government wants something done, they'll find a way to do it regardless. That's just the nature of an entity so large and with so many responsibilities, it's power is immense. Of course that's why you have a lot of citizens with a faint feeling of paranoia because of the underlying notion that the US government is too big to fail. |

I rather not have the baby thrown out with the bath water. Which too often seems to be government approach to "solving" problems. |
