Sasuke can switch between EMS and MS?
 

Do you remember when Itachi explained that taking your sibling's eyes gives birth to a new jutsu?
That new jutsu is EMS, not new Susa-no-o or whatever.

In chapter 592, on page 2, Sasuke activated his old MS.
That means that he can still go blind if he uses that doujutsu.

I think that was him remembering his former self.

As you can see, his collar is also open in that image, whereas recently he has it zipped up entirely.

He can switch it whenever he does, but I hope he won't use MS ever again.

lol..i didn't even notice that... i wonder? there should be an explanation. But i dont think using that will make him blind since he's using it through a Itachi's eyes.

it's be neat if he could switch to itachi's only...although that'd be pointless

As it was said already, it was just part of Sasuke's thinking, as you can see, with the MS, he was looking straight forward and his shirt is open, while we see in reality that his shirt is zip up and he was looking up with his normal eyes.

so are you saying if he uses ms right now, he would suffer the effect of blindness? hmm...that's possible...but isn't that itachi's eyes?

That's what I am saying.
New jutsu Itachi was talking about is EMS. EMS holds the power of the MS but with no side effects.
Mangekyou Sharingan is a jutsu(people forget that). A jutsu which seals itself away over time. If you use ETERNAL]Mangekyou Sharingan it will give you the power of MS, but you won't go blind.

I think it still damages the eye, like tires them and puts a strain, but the eyesight remains.
You just rest after you overuse it and you can do it again.

There is no difference between what he can do and what he can't between EMS and MS, and once you have EMS, you have it. It just prevents you from going blind. He doesn't even have his MS eyes anymore.

He can switch back and forth between his (E)MS and his regular Sharingan though.

Tbh, I think Kishi or an assistant just made a drawing error. He has been known to make mistakes recently i.e. Raikage with his hand back and Minato's face on the Hokage monument in the Obito flashback.

Drawing a different jutsu is a HUGE mistake. :lol:

Yeah, but so are the things I just mentioned. :lol: Kishi even publicly apologized for drawing Minato's face on the Hokage monument-how did none of his assistants or editor not notice that? lol

NO his eyes are EMS now. His eyes are mixed with Itachis they don't go back to the old. THey go to S mode and they become that then EMS meaning they can not go blind that is way they are called Eternal.

Why would he want to use MS anyway? EMS has MS in it. EMS has the same abilities as MS does except it adds a new one.

He has Itachi's eyes = EMS.
But that doesn't mean that he has to use EMS. He can probably use MS if he wants to.

Check the thread's date...it was made a long time ago when Itachi fought Kabuto.
Sasuke did the same thing.
Had EMS when they fought, and then switched to MS after the fight.
He did the same thing now. He activated MS.
Gis EMS has that 3 point pattern inside the 6 point star, MS doesn't.
And in this chapter he has only the star. :P

I don't think that doing this 2 times is just a mistake by Kishi.

Maybe when you "see Sasuke using MS" while he has EMS it might just be when he's activating it. Even though this is just an example and watch Itachi's sharingan turn into MS when he is about to cast Ammy. It turns slowly. So maybe while Sasuke is activating his EMS his MS forms first then Itachi's forms afterwards. He could activate it instantly by blinking but without blinking it would have to form.

Either this or its just a drawing mistake.
