I used to play alot of Pokemon yellow last year, when I had time to kill.

Emerald is absolutely the best game tho ;3. And it helps that it's part of the best generation also imo. I played Emerald more than any of the other games in terms of hours spent :ugeek:.

Brock is the hardest gym leader I have ever faced. Not lying, never struggled with a leader like with him. (in yellow version only)

Brock was easy for me actually. Just spammed double team and slam :P

@Tsuki Butterfree has 4x weakness to rock....
@Well I was like 6 when I did it. But even now I still have to go get a mankey. Back then I picked up a nidoran then trained the hell out of it on level 4 pidgeys till like 14 and got double kick.

That was my first Nidoran... Nidoking was my favorite pokemon for years because it saved me against brock after losing countless times :lol:
It was the only pokemon I trained after that. Well mostly the only one. Then, I met Sabrina. >_>

@Uchina_Sora: You forget, this is Gen I. Geodude and Onix don't learn any Rock-type moves for a good while. Brock just spams Tackle and Defense Curl/Harden. Even in FRLG Brock was easy, because Charmander got Metal Claw at lvl 13. :lol:

Just catch a Nidoran (Either will do, but Male is stronger, Female is balanced) or Mankey. Butterfree can curbstomp Brock right after evolving with Confusion.


Also, Yellow is considered the easiest game to Nuzlocke on because you get all starters. I myself don't see this because of the huge level spikes the Gym Leaders got. Seriously, Sabrina has a freakin' lvl 50 Alakazam (Whereas Giovanni in all other games has his strongest at lvl 50), and Psychics were broken in Gen I. And the funny thing is, my Pikachu died when I Nuzlocke'd Yellow, but by then I had gotten bored of it, so I never finished my run.

I was going to suggest Nidoran and Mankey for their fighting moves as well.
